Username Colors

Banned pink doesn't resemble any staff, and people thinking you are banned wouldn't really do anyone harm.
r2k Stated on IRC that these colors simply aren't allowed to be used, because there colors used by the Staff. If everyone would have a Red name like r2k's and Skyline's then it would be a mess, and new/average members would get confused.

You got me all wrong mudkipz, by all means if there is someone here who agrees with you on that, it's me.
I went in against severall moderators, on IRC to state why i though it was unfair to disallow, these specific colors.

1. replied that these colors are for staff members, to stand out in the community.

2. because premium members pay for there yellow names, it wouldn't be fair to them.
If there name color could be copied the only thing that they would be paying for, is the Premium member tag.

So yeah, if you have any good statements why these colors should be allowed, i guess you should go on IRC and state them, personally i think it's a waste of time and the Admins made up there mind, but maybe you can convince them.

What if someone would make their avatar that? Then that would be super confusing... But that would be going way too far.

They could abuse the fact that newcomers believe they're Staff at GamerzPlanet and ask for details from them, which isn't supposed to be the case.

You could buy all those in vbPlaza. So the only thing that makes them stand out is their Yellow Name, the icon they have below their name and the fact they can go to the Premium Members only section.

Like Bob already said, the only things that would be unique to a Premium member is the Premium section you were talking about, and the premium member bar.

i don't know why its such a big deal.. Colored names, big deal.. by all technicallity, you can still have greens, and red, and yellows.. the difference is you got to alter then just right to make them different.

you got 000000 to FFFFFF.

I Believe moderator red is FF0000, If you just altered the hue a little to F60000, it is slightly darker, but barely noticable... it is not by all technicality the moderator Moderator Red, and hence-forth.. its a loop hole

However, if the Admins and Mods get mad about that, i guess they'll block any reds or any blues..

but i would like to state that when i started here, the colors ment nothing to me, they still mean nothing to me, i know a mod or a admin by their tags, not their colors, and i don't think any new person really does either, actually i don't even think they knew they were color coded..

And in regards to the yellow name, just ban that one from being used i guess.
But if anyone is using the color codes to try and "Pretend" to be a mod anyway, thats against the rules to begin with so instead of having them change their name color, change it for them, to a nice "Banned" Pink color..

this is a bigger difference here, but if i was to change the code and not just use the toolbar up top, it would look different

As long as it's anything close to our Colours that we're using, as stated above, more likely than not, you'd get an Infraction + Removal of your Username Colour.
