I find it to be a good thing that a game developer actually wants to hear pirates' opinions for once.

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Don't add me on instant messengers for no reason. Also, I do not trade/MM.
Here's another interesting article: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
"Therefore, Judge Campbell concluded, MDY violated the DMCA when it evaded warden's checks."
1. You know, the same thing all of the hacks on this site do, by avoiding GameGuard and other preventative measures.
"Blizzard argued, and Judge Campbell agreed, that when users violated the World of Warcraft EULA, they no longer had a license to play the game and were therefore guilty of copyright infringement."
2. You break the EULA every time you hack any of the games on this site, enjoy your fines.
"The other question Judge Campbell considered is whether Michael Donnelly, MDY's founder and Glider's author, should be personally liable for the infringing activities of his firm. Donnelly contended that because copyright is unclear in this area, and because he believed his conduct to be legal, that he should not be personally liable for the infringing activities of his firm. Judge Campbell rejected this argument, holding that Campbell was aware of his firm's actions and should have known that they were illegal."
3. You are personally liable for the hacks you put on this site, and you can personally pay huge fines or jailtime.
seems like ordinary market research, and it all comes down to whether they could do something about it. I don't pirate games, but I do agree they are over priced as I have recently purchased a game for $80..
Confessions
I got a few people, maybe 5% of the total, who basically said "I do it because I like free stuff and won't get caught. I'd do the same with anything if I knew I'd get away with it." This is depressing, but thankfully a small minority. I also got the occasional bit of abuse and sarcasm from hardcore pirates who have decided I am their enemy. Who would have thought that would happen? They give the other 99% of pirates a bad name, and are the reason people don't listen to pirates.
That makes 104%. Anyway, what I'm missing there is a point, saying, to try out the full game, then buy it if it didn't totally suck to honor the work.
