This glorious 11.6 millimeter device features a "3.5-inch 480 x 320 touchscreen display with multi-touch support and a proximity sensor to turn off the screen when it's close to your face, 2 megapixel cam, 4GB or 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE." Additionally, the iPhone can run "OS X with support for Widgets, Google Maps, and Safari, and iTunes with CoverFlow right out the box." A partnership with Yahoo will allow all iPhone customers to hook up with free push IMAP email. Apple quotes 5 hours of battery life for talk or video, with a full 16 hours in music mode -- no word on standby time yet. But the real kicker? It's 599 US dollars... for the 8GB SKU, that is; half the size will cost you a hundred less--$499.

Wow Apple blows. Only 5 hours talk time? $499? I rather get a slim smart phone. I also heard of micro hard drive phones coming out as well.

This seems like an overpriced archos wifi except with an insanly small capacity. I mean $500+ for just 4-8g? Definatly not worth the price, and im sure it'll have audio/video compatibility restrictions.

Oh well, hopefully they made a solar energy panel charger for it. BTW people, its already out for phones and some mp3 players.

It's totally worth it. If it runs OS-X, it can run microsoft office. Good phone for active business ppl. Cellphone with wi-fi is totally brilliant! Well, it's not totaly new, but my dad's cell is quite old now. I will recomend my dad this 1, :). I wonder if it runs adobe photoshop! LoL, I will have my tablet connected via bluetooth. Awwsome!

looks nice to me,
5 hour non stop talk is something i dont do so i guess that wouldnt matter.
16 hours for str8 up music? hard to believe

it might be small and thin like the ipods,
once they sell the case, no more thiness
