| Registered User | Luminary Walkthrough/FAQ A Luminary walkthrough/FAQ I posted this coz I saw few threads asking for FAQ. THis was not made by me, it was made by Majal on the ijji forum. Hope I helped = ) ~~~~ Table of contents ~~~~ If you want to find something fast, press Ctrl+F and Put in one of the 3 digit codes. [INT] – Intro [ABT] – About the game [STO] – Starting out [STA] – Stat Info [WEP] – Weapon Info [LVL] – Leveling [SUM] – Summon [TWN] – Towns [END] – Ending ~~~~ [INT] Intro ~~~~ Welcome, I noticed that there was not a single guide on gamefaqs nor was there any easy access ones from the internet or searching, and since there is soon to be a North American release called Luminary: Rise of the Goonzu, I wrote this guide to educate the beta testers, and later players. This is my first guide, so email me if there are any problems, or you want to add to it, also this guide is still being worked on, if you have information email that also: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] This guide can be posted anywhere, just be sure not to edit or change it in anyway and to give full credit to me. Vote for me as Goonzu, whenever I may be running, ;-). I had to manualy edit this, so it whould not steam across the page. I submitted it to GameFaqs, Though it is not up yet. So it needed to be reformated, sorry if it is screwed up a little. ~~~~ [ABT] About the game ~~~~ Goonzu (Luminary) is a game where players can explore a vast world where they can battle monsters, farm, make friends, mine, be part of a government, and interact with friends! In Goonzu you can be part of the game itself, by buying shares of the town (more information later in the guide) and take part in shareholders meetings and decide what happens. Eventually you need to vote for a Goonzu, the ruler of the world that decides what happens, and then chooses 4 other ministers to also decide the outcome and enjoyment of your overall game experience. There money is know as marbles, the symbol for it is [M]. ~~~~ [STO] Starting out ~~~~ When you make your account at ijji.com, it is time to make your first character. For your first character it will ask if you want to set a Recommender, you lose nothing if you set one, and since I helped you out with this guide you might as well set it as me: Vixen After setting a recommender, you start out your adventure in Hanyang, you should do all of Sarah’s quests. It will get you introduced into the game, and give you an understanding of the buildings and there uses. It is also a fast way to get to level 10. While or after you should start the quests with the two other people near her Siegfried's and Giselle's quests, which should be done at the same time, as they involve each others monsters. [IMPORTANT!] At level 10 you can reset your skill and stat points, see the stat guide for what you should use them in, do not miss your chance at this or level up before level 10. This also means that you can make whatever you want your stats to be before level 10. Put all skill points into the weapon you want to use. This can also be done at level 30. [IMPORTANT!] ~~~~ [STA] Stat Info ~~~~ Strength: Each 5 points in strength give you +1 attack (damage). Agility: Agility determines your hit for weapons and magic also increases dodge chance. Wisdom: Each point in wisdom gives you 4MP. Also increases the damage of magic attacks. Vitality: Each point in vitality gives you 4HP. Dexterity: Increases chance of making better items when manufacturing. Luck: Increases chance of getting better drops when hunting. ~~~~ [WEP] Weapon Info ~~~~ Since you are now level 10, it is time to choose a weapon; here is detailed information on each: Sword = Close Combat, High Attack Speed, Low Damage Spear = Close Combat, Balanced Attack Speed and Damage Axe = Close Combat, Low Attack Speed, High Damage Bow = Ranged Combat, High Attack Speed, Low Damage Gun = Ranged Combat, Low Attack Speed, High Damage Cane = Magic Combat, Super Damage, Super Expensive Don’t start with the cane, as you cannot afford it at your first try at the game, magic is expensive to recover. Put your stats according to each of the weapons: STR: Allows users to use close range weapons, such as the axe, spear, and sword. Increases the amount of damage a user can inflict on monsters using a weapon, and allows armors to be worn. AGI: Allows users to use long range weapons such as the Gun and the Bow, increases accuracy and avoid. WIS: Allows users to use canes, increases magic damage and MP. VIT: Allows user to take more damage by increasing the HP. LUCK: Increase’s the success rate of creating and finding items. Stat allocation for weapons: Swordsman: Weakest overall damage, but fastest attack, Have just enough Strength for your next weapon, put into AGI and VIT based on your needs. Axeman: Highest overall physical attack, but slowest of all. Have just enough Strength for your next weapon, put into AGI and VIT based on your needs. Spearman: Even power and attack speed. Have just enough Strength for your next weapon, put into AGI and VIT based on your needs. Magician: Strongest attack of all, and good speed, but every attack drains mp, not good for starters, Wisdom is more important, put into AGI and VIT based on your needs. Gunner: More powerful then the bow, but has a slower attack speed, use just enough AGI to eqp your gun, Strength is most important, put into VIT based on your needs. Bowman: Weaker then the gun, but has a faster attack speed, use just enough AGI to eqp your bow, Strength is most important, put into VIT based on your needs. ~~~~ [LVL] Leveling ~~~~ You can level by killing monsters or doing quests. It is advised to keep all the drops, in less you need to sell, or can afford to buy the items later. Crafting is a major part of this game and everything is needed, may it be making a weapon, or a potion. ~~~~ [SUM] Summon ~~~~ To Capture you have to read a capture book, it takes one skill point. You then have a certain percent chance of capturing monsters, you can check the info section on monsters to see your percentage. All you have to do to capture is kill it and then by chance of your skill you can capture it. To summon a monster, you first need to be level 20, then you may collect Evil Raccoon dolls, now you have to right click them, don’t worry, they don’t always work, it is advised to get at least 50, for resummoning and failures. Since your summon is a low level, you don’t want it to fight with you yet, it will die. So press ALT+A and go to your summons tab, and at the bottom there is 2 options: Attributes: ( ) Attack ( ) Stand Click stand so the monster won’t die. When you attack you raise its levels naturally, it just leeches exp. It is possible to have 2 summonses. To call out your first summon, press F6, and for the second one press F7. Summons have a certain amount of spirit time, when it runs out they die. The higher level your summon the longer it will live. To manually allow your summon to fight a monster, hold shift and right click it, if the summon kills the monster on his/her own, it will get all exp, no matter how weak the monster. When your summon dies, go see Vlad in Hanyang and some other player run worlds. To revive the summon give him the same amount of dolls as the level of the summon. So if you have a level 4 Evil Raccoon, you need 4 of the same dolls to revive it. You can also evolve your summon, to do that you need Evo tickets that you can buy from Clara, to find her go to the info tab at the bottom and look for her name, it will give you exact X, and Y location. The tickets cost 10,000 [M] Each. Evolving is also done at Vlad. You need 10 tickets, which is 100,000 [M]. Depending on your Summons level you will have a range of choices to evolve it to. When you evolve it 6 times (It should be Fruit Brothers) You need to use blessing stones to further evolve it. ~~~~ [TWN] Towns ~~~~ Towns are player run cities where NPC’s and buildings are built by the chief, who is elected at a shareholders meeting. *I need more information on towns, email me. When a new town opens, 20,000 shares will be distributed between the players. These shares are needed to vote for a chief of the town. Each player can go to a stock market and get shares for 5k each (at level 20) To buy the stock, right click the stock market then go to the public subscription tab, in the dropdown list the new town will appear, to subscribe you must have at least 100k in your inv. Now you have to wait for the shares to be distributed, which happens at a time that the Goonzu chooses. Any player with over 3% of the shares can vote in a town share holders meeting, and agree or Disagree for the town chief at the Town hall. To join a town you have to fit the requirements usually put in the town description. You can view it in the info window or by holding your mouse over the town long enough. If you fit the requirements you can go to the registration tab and apply for registration. The chief will then choose to let you in or not. If I helped please thank me = ) |
