well...ive seen some of these other forums...you could say the same thing about some of the mmorps games....and with it being halo....a actual halo forum....it will rocxors all boxers....because with the release of the 360....then comes halo 3....come on....i would think that 46 or so people would be good standings....GO HALO FORUM!!!!!!!....ManiacMack

Halo is just another FPS. The only reason it become so popular is because it was the first FPS to introduce itself to the up and coming gamer population (the n64 and ps1 kids). I personally prefer HL1/HL2 to Halo1/2 anyday.

Halo's Microsoft's best creation ever. One that, (well, IMO) can be on par to Playstation's Final Fantasy series.

I don't agree with you on one point. It isn't popular cuz its the first FPS to whatevers, but cuz of it's
+ Engrossing detail
+ Smart gameplay balance
+ Perfect control
+ Full-blown co-op
+ Brilliant multiplayer
...and also, it's lasting appeal. To elaborate,

Halo is the epitome of multiplayer first-person shooting. The weapon system, minus some very compact levels, is perfectly balanced, and the inclusion of vehicles on larger maps makes for some hilariously hectic bouts. I enjoy the majority of Halo 2's maps, except for one level which is too large for any less than eight players. The rest of them are clever in execution and offer many fun places for spontaneous run-ins or sniping hideouts. Cleverly designed for teh optimal strategic experiance.These are definitely better than Halo 1 (And in any other game), and new maps are constantly becoming available.

And theres the guns. With the introduction of dual-wielding into the game, it not makes gameplay more complicated and interesting, it opens game to more...openings. Players now have to figure out which and what combinations of guns to use during fights with different enemies ( Grunts, Elites, Jackals and the such). Also, there are the new plasma weapons. The Energy sword, and the sentinal beam. Each and every weapon has its upside and flaws, and it all come down to which is more, say, suitable for the player's use, or the combination's effectiveness.

Shan't go into any further detail, but as long as the game exists, "halo" cannot be taken seriously anymore; churches will have to remove it from their vocabulary entirely. Halo as a game has become general lingo. Everybody talks about it. Everybody knows the terminology, from Warthog to "camping." This is a part of life. Get in on the action.

yeah..I wouldnt object it though..I've seen some of the trailers..Quite a fun game,havent tried it though..Willing to get to know it..

You should. A life without Halo is just sad. And get Xbox live while your at it, or try Halo 1 in PC.

EDIT: I would definitely be more active if a section like that is set up :D
