This tutorial is for setting up a World of Warcraft Private Server using Ascent

EASY YET SIMPLE GUIDE!

Programs Needed for Step I:
1.)Microsoft Framework 3.5: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
2.)Ascent: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]


I)

a)Install AC-Web Ultimate Repack.
b)Extract the Map Extractor EN/US in your World of Warcraft folder
c)Open AD.exe, when finished it should close, Copy the folder "Maps" and Paste into "C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack"



II)

a)Go at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
b)Login and go at "Add" in the left side of webpage.
c)At "Host Type" choose "Port 80 Redirect".
d)Put Host Name and at "Port: 8245"
e)And then click on "Create Port Redirect".

III)

a)Go to Start > Run > Type "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\"> "Host.File" Open with Notepad
b)
127.0.0.1 (Host Name)
(Internal IP) (Host Name)
(External IP) (Host Name




IV)

a) Open: "C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Ascent" > Open "Realms.conf"
b) Change RealmCount ="1" to "2"



c)
Add -

<Realm1 Name = "YOUR REALM NAME"
Address = "YOUR EXTERNAL IP:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "0"
TimeZone = "1">

<Realm2 Name = "YOUR REALM NAME - Local"
Address = "YOUR INTERNAL IP:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "0"
TimeZone = "1">





V)

Download: MySQL - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
a)Install it and when its finish it will have a little check on the MySQL Server Conifiguration Wizard Use. For both passwords, just use "password"

b)After you have done that, go to Start > All Programs > MySQL and open MySQL Command Line Client.

For the password use "password" hit enter

Type:
CREATE database world;

Type:
CREATE database accounts;

Type:
USE `accounts`;

Type:
insert into `accounts`(`acct`,`login`,`password`,`gm`,`banned` ,`lastlogin`,`lastip`,`email`,`flags`,`forcelangua ge`) values (1,'username goes here','password goes here','az',0,'0000-00-00 00:00:00','','',8,'enUS');


c)Go to C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Server\apache\conf > "httpd" Change "Listen 80" to "Listen 8245"

d)Open C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Ascent > Ascent.conf

Edit > goto page 31 > Replace it with:

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "PASSWORD" Name = "world" Port = "3306" Type = "1"><CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "PASSWORD" Name = "accounts" Port = "3306" Type = "1">


Type:

And the same on line 600:
Type:

And finally you need to put a password (any password) on line 461 in this section:

<LogonServer DisablePings = "0" RemotePassword = "password">

Find>
Type:
<Client MinBuild = "7799" MaxBuild = "9999">


Load Ascent.exe and it should Register

Load LogonServer.exe and it will load your server.
