EZ Rakion Stat Hacking Guide 6/27/07

Ok I am designing this guide to be idiot proof. I started this not too long ago and I think that the other guides on this topic are OK, but hopefully this guide will answer any questions the average newbie has. So without further delay, onto the guide. Yes it's 35 steps long, if you can't handle it, then don't attempt to hack. This guide is an intro into what you can do with a Cheat Engine (I'm learning as well )

Step 1: Download Revolution Engine 7 (included at bottom of page)
Step 2: Extract the files using Winrar or a similar program
Step 3: Once extracted, start Revolution 7.exe
Step 4: Click on the little gear icon in the upper-left hand corner of the program. This will show all of the current processes that are being run.



Step 5: Start Rakion
Step 6: Enter your Login ID and password and press OK.
Step 7: Select Rakion and press Start Game.
Step 8: Quickly switch back to the processes window that we started during Step 4 and press the Process List button near the bottom. This refreshes the processes that are running.


Step 9: Near the bottom should be a process called "rakion.bin". Select that and press OK.


Step 10: Select your server and the character that you wish to play with.
Step 11: Enter your inventory screen.
Step 12: Record the name of the weapon you use. It is important to note capitalization and the number in parentheses ex. (4+)


Step 13: Press CTRL+ALT+DEL. Unfortunately ALT+TAB does not work. The Task Manager should pop up and Rakion should become minimized. After it's minimized just close task manager.
Step 14: This is where it gets a little difficult. In the Revolution Engine, change the Value Type to "Text". In the Text box, enter the name "Tears(2)" without the quotes.




Step 15: Press Enter. Revolution should start searching for that text and you normally see some binary code while it is searching (just for show I think).
Step 16: An address should show up on the left side. Right click on the address and select "Browse this memory region"


Step 17: DON'T PANIC!! A window with a bunch of numbers and symbols should appear. There should be something that looks like this on the right hand side of the screen: (E+5. RIght after that there should be either one or two more symbols. There are 15 sets of these E+5 sequences. On the LAST sequence, highlight those two symbols at the end and right click. Select the "Copy to clipboard" option.


Step 18: Close the memory browsing window (the window that you just copied the symbols from).
Step 19: At the Revolution main screen, click on the button New Scan near the top.


Step 20: In the Text box (where you typed in Tears(2) earlier), now type in the name of the weapon you recored in Step 12.


Step 21: Press Enter.
Step 22: Revolution Engine should start searching again.
Step 23: Instead of one address appearing this time, multiple addresses have appeared. Now you are asking yourself "How do I know which address to select?" It is actually failrly easy, but a little time consuming. Select the first address and right click.
Step 24: Select "Browse this memory region"


Step 25: See the weapon name in the right hand middle corner? Change whatever number is in the parentheses to a 9 (ex. if I was changing a Mercenary(4+), it would look like Mercenary(9+). To change it, left click on the number and then simply press 9.


Step 26: Go back into Rakion and check the name of your weapon. If the number changed to a 9, thats great! You can skip Step 27 and go to Step 28.


Step 27: *IF YOUR WEAPON CHANGED TO A 9, SKIP THIS STEP* Unfortunately, the address you edited was a different item. Switch back to the Revolution Engine main screen (Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to minimize Rakion). Select the second address on the left hand list and follow Steps 24 through 26 again until the number changes to a 9. If the second address does not work, go on to the third address on the list. Keep doing this until the number on your weapon changes to a 9.
Step 28: In the Memory Browser, under the weapon name should be something similar to the code we copied from the Tears(2) address. It will look something like $E+5 with one or two more symbols after that, or (E+5 with two symbols after it. There should be about 15 of these sequences on the right hand side of the Memory Browser. Hopefully, you still have the two symbols we copied earlier in Step 17. Left click on the first 5. This should highlight it in grey.
Step 29: Right click on the highlighted 5 and select "Paste from clipboard" *NOTE THE 5 SHOULD NOT CHANGE, BUT THE TWO SYMBOLS AFTER IT SHOULD*


Step 30: Left click on the second 5.
Step 31: Right click on the highlighted 5 and select "Paste from clipboard"
Step 32: Continue pasting for each 5 until there are no more. There should be about sixteen total (you have to paste sixteen times).


Step 33: Close the Memory Browser
Step 34: Go back into Rakion and check your weapon stats. They should be very high or negative. *NEGATIVE NUMBERS STILL GIVE STATS. EQUIP THE ITEM TO VERIFY*
Step 35: Enter a game and start having fun!

Things to keep in mind:
-This can also be done with armor and other items, you can figure that out
-If it doesn't work the first time, TRY AGAIN!
-I believe Rakion has a max amount of stats you can have, I don't know how that's bypassed. This means that even though the item shows you get, say +205 stats, it is only maxing out the stats. For insance, Blacksmiths can only have 200 ranged attack max.
-The symbols and address change every time you start Rakion.
-Revolution Engine sometimes crashes randomly, I can't even get it to work with Vista
-There is an easier way to determine which weapon is which without changing the title, you have to look at the model. The model is shown below the name it will say something like Primary_01\sword.smc or something along those lines.
-If you are a low level, it will be obvious you are cheating so beware
-Any questions, just ask. I will try to help.

I believe Revolution 7 is patched, as of last night they had a patch for hacks, I tested the stat hack but when i got into the invetory after a about a minute i got disconnected randomly, probably as a result of Revolution.

I said this somewhere before, but I'm not sure where. You randmoly get Disconnected, with 6.2 AND 7.2, but it still works

Wish there was one like this for armor. Lol this doesnt help me look on too much im pretty much brain dead after which symbol im supposed to replace :P
