Really newb question..but hw u use front/rear grip?

I dun understand what the site talknig about. For example,for ninja, it say front grip, approached from front and press both mouse buttons. But when I tried that, instead of gripping, I execute the "power explosion"

If u realy want 2 learn it good,
Try it whit a friend..
Let him stand still,
And u stand in the front of back of him/her,
Then push both mouse buttons at the same time.
Then you'll do front or rear grip!
later fight whit him/her,
And try gripping again!
Make it urself harder and later it will be mutch easyer!

Well you have to be actually touching the guy you want to grip. So if you want to grip a person from rear (which is most likely better than front), all you do is approach him, make sure youre actually touching him then click the two buttons. Works best when the guy is in delay (after missing a big attack).

To practice gripping make a warrior, play a normal game until you see somebody use their invincable attack (the attack that happens when you miss a grip), run over to the guy , be touching his back and make sure your not moving still and click both mouse buttons and the grip should work.. of course he could be lagging and it might miss... but a key factor is moving, make sure your not moving.. I say to make a warrior because they are the easiest to learn gripping with IMO they are fast and tough.

"If u realy want 2 learn it good" learn from other people when they grip in-game. Notice how they only grip at certain times. e.g You will never see a grip happening in a chase.

Yeah exactly...if you get gripped its probably because you're standing still not moving or you're in delay after a special attack as z5o3 said..practice makes perfect. Timing is another key factor along with moving. Work on that.

I tried it. I was touching the other guy and i press both mouse butons..still didn't work. Do u have to be DIRECTLY behind or infront? And does it work against those soldiers in the tutorial mode?

ha ya you cant grip cells (or pets whatever you call them). And yes you have to be DIRECTLY infront or behind someone... sometimes you can get away with being a little to the side, but you cant grip directly from the side... you'll just miss.
