First of all, I'm noticing that we are failing on GzP, yeah i dont have a high post or thank count BUT, that would be because of the fact, i only post when neccesarry or is essential.
First Q:
Does anyone know how and/or why Vista fails at MySQL.
It gives a #1064 error on SQL syntax when i load the worldserver. All IP's, ports, names, DB directories are all properly fillled. The data files the server request's are all properly formatted in terms of collumns, lines, and alpha-numerically in order. Navicat is connected, database loads, is accepted without ANY error's, and is fully compatible with Vista. So just to clarify, EVERYTHING is in working order, I even tested it on my fathers desktop w/ Windows XP Pro SP3, and it starts, and works properly without any accomodations. If anyone is using Vista OS, and has FIXED this, please let me know.
Second Q:
Does anyone know / have a tut or info on the status values in the /item command for the ending value
ex. /item 3448 8 1 9 [this one]. A full list or instructions for finding these would be useful. These values can be modified in Navicat, and i would like to be able to utilise this for events, so that way players can get rare items that are not only ref'd and slotted, but statted aswell. ex' 10atk power, 5 str'.
3rd Q:
What are all the neccesarry files to modify in order to create newly classed items. ex, If i would want to make a new rapier that has a standard attk of 113 and lvl req of 50, would i edit the sole data files for the "item_data".
Any feedback on ANY of these questions would be extremely helpful, especially the first one, as it is the most prudinent one.
[btw, i don't expect them to be post, PM me these if you want them to remain need-to know only. plan on using these to run a professional server, not some hacked apart high rate piece of crap]

Well i am having the same problem with OS Rose server files ,u can try Arcturus files u have a tutorial [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
not tested them myself but they should be fine under vista .
And remember the best server files are the files u make by urself
Thanks, but im more interested in the ROSE Evo client for 1, and i could force it to work with arcturus files BUT, I was moreso just curious as to WHY Vista just blatently refuses to load these files correctly.
I alread replied to that in another thread,
it's because you're using Mysql 5.1 or 6 and range is a now a mysql word.
Check official osRose forum for the fix.
