| Registered User | Rumble Fighter is a great, fun game! Hmmm I'm just here to describe some of the fundamentals to the game. It's is a free mmog (massive multiplayer online game) available at ogplanet.com . (When entering a birthdate, try to put one that you will remember because the game requires a birthdate to sell an item that is no longer necessary) The game looks easy, but it actually has a lot of depth to it. ------------------------------ 1) Exocores and Scrolls The game introduces a power known as the "exocore". After racking up enough points (easily attained from fighting), you can summon your exocore, but the exocore bar must be at least half full. With the exocore, your fighting style may often times be altered. Exocores also give two skills. The game also introduces fighting styles attained from buying scrolls. I would consider scrolls more important than exocores because sometimes, you never even summon your exocore during a match. ------------------------------ 2) Classes There are four classes you can choose from: Striker- Great for close combat. Default exocore is decent. Increased strength. Recommended for beginners. Soul Fighter- Great for hit and run. Default exocore is arguably the worst of the four classes, but they have the ability to transform into beasts and other souls. Increased speed and jump. Recommended for experienced players. Elementalist- Their attack is the worst out of all classes, but they make up for it with their exocores. They're given the most SP allowing them to cast many skills, compared to other classes. They're more of a support character and recommended for helping their teammates out. Alchemist- They are versatile. Their armor is powerful and so is their strength, but they sacrifice speed in return. Their exocores consist of robots, blades, and gun, but currently, the only good exocores require astros (Real money used for the game). Fortunately, their default exocore is decent. Recommended for anyone. ------------------------------ 3) Terminology Edging- attacking a character to fall of the map Angling- using angle moves to attack the opponent (often used to edge) Islanding- running to island to avoid attacks and get cheap kills (term used in Glacier, and Glacier is the most commonly abused map in the game) Drifting- Blahhh i'll mention this in a possible future guide. >___< Delaying- Slowing down your combo to confuse opponent Pausing- Instead of spamming buttons, you can stop your combo and restart to confuse the opponent. Then, switch it up a bit by adding delays. Juggling- This is available to several scrolls. (Unless you have martial arts soul, which allows you to juggle start) It is used to suspend the opponent in the air and barrage him with attacks (while he/she is in the air) because he is defenseless. Panic won't work and it is ideally great for edging and attacking. ------------------------------ 4) Stats HP= Health SP= Special (Casting skills with your exocore) Arm= Armor (Defense) Str= Strength (Attack) Spd= Speed Jump= Jump :D ------------------------------ 5) Attacks Punch/Tackle (Tackles and has the ability to knock down, but has short range) Kick/Tackle (Slide tackles and has long range) Recovery Kick (When knocked down, you have the ability to recover using a kick. Great right? Wrong! Pros will use aerials kick -will be discussed later- to avoid your recovery and then they will atk you. Dont fall for this! Use block! Recovery kicks can be executed by getting up and pressing kick <- Can be done with rolls) Guard (When guarding, the player is invincible, but throw is the only thing able to penetrate guard! -or attack from behind if the person doesn't have a shield- It is essential to avoid death, but be cautious of throws) Throw (Used by pushing both punch and guard simultaneously. Penetrates guard) Counter (I HIGHLY suggest you don't use this until you get pro. Even pros have difficulty with this. Used by pushing both kick and guard simultaneously) Panic (Only one per game and it can safe your life from getting edged. Used by pushing both punch and kick simultaneously) ------------------------------ 6) Skill So there's always the whiner that conjures up whatever he can think of to justify his death. The most common complaints consist of: -Zomfg lag sauce, noob (Personal favorite) -All you do is grab/tackle/whatever (Sigh, as Mr. T would say... "I pity the foo") - (Ahhhh and now we come to this one...) You have better equips The game designed everything for a reason. It also created something counter-act these problems (Meh except lag). The game truly does require skill. Stat bonuses hardly make a big difference, and every scroll has its strengths and weaknesses. I can kick my friend's -insert inappropriate word here- everytime with default.... and he uses baguazhang and drunken boxing (Both astro item scrolls). Now, Im not saying default is amazing compared to bag and drunken... they definately wouldn't hurt you, but I just want to point out that there is no horrible scroll out there. Encouragement for the win------------------------------ Uhhh I have a level 24 (In professional) and a level 12 (In professional) (You can contact me through my account, Error714, for some lessons, tips, or questions. Add me!) -To add me go add some random guy by right clicking his name. Then right click the guy's name on your buddy list and click the "Add friend" icon. Put in Error714 and taa-daa :D Ummmm if all goes well with this guide, I'll plan on making some more guides with more depth to it. Good luck and have fun rumble fighting! | Registered User | Re: Basic Guide injected are u talking bout cabal? maybe u should post there...2ndly...yea id say always start out with a striker simple to use good base dmg but speed is ur weak point.Other then that strikers strength makes up for speed and armor is terrible say u go up against another striker but he has all these astros items and etc. yull die in a matter of seconds if ur not skilled enough. |

| Registered User | Re: Basic Guide so does everything else ever created in this world, except starcraft =x I wanna know what exactly does the stat "Arm" do, is it better grab damage or better skill damage, and also what's the first recommended item to get (using carats, not astro) for soul striker.. I'm personally using soul striker, but it's true their default exocore does suck :( |
