| Mega Man Hunter ![]() | There has been a large sum of spamming going on in this section. Also, some people decide to ignore the forum rules entirely. So I will break this down simply: You can use the Search Button to find answers to your questions. 1. When a person decides to sell an account, and uses the general section of RuneScape instead of the Trade Center sub-forum, you will be warned for spamming instead of the typical "wrong section" warning. The RuneScape has it's own sub-section in the Virtual Items section, and the Trade Center in the RuneScape group woul automatically transfer you there. Infraction: Posting in wrong section. Was: 3 point warn. Now: 15 point warn. 2. Some people like looking through past thread from about 10 months ago and decide to post in it. This is known as GraveDigging. The threads are probably so old that the original author probably does not look into it. Then I end up closing it because it is not resourceful. This clearly shows that the poster has no sense of time and cannot read what date the last post occured. Infraction: GraveDigging. Was: 3 point warn. Now: 15 point warn. 3. Spamming. This is something I despise. But sometimes it is blown out of proportion where the poster would ask a question that is completely off topic. If the person cannot comprehend the topic itself, they should not bother posting in our forum. Infraction: Spamming. Still 15 points. But: Banned in extreme cases. 4. Always read the stickies! If I see any question asked that has been answered in previous posts or in the sticky, you will be banned. Warnings will be given out on different perspectives. Infraction: Spamming. Still: 15 points. But: Banned in extreme cases. 5. This I had to adjust. Begging was a large problem, but it seemed to die down a little. So, in terms of begging, I do not want to see, "Where do I get gold hacks?" That's begging, especially when such a thing does not exist. However, if you are asking for help on error that you get from the bots, you WILL NOT get warned. So in the RuneScape Bots sections, feel free to get help involving errors or tactics used in the scripts. Infraction: Begging. Still: 15 points. But: Instant ban when not bothering to use the search button. 6. Use the "thanks" button. When you simply post "Thanks, I will try this," in a thread where a program has been given, it is considered as spam. We don't need 3 pages of people thanking when you can simply click 1 buttons. Besides, by only posting thanks, you are showing that you are leeching. Infraction: Spamming. Instant Ban. Asking general questions is fine. Asking, "I got this error [error message], how do I fix it?" I will leave that open since I think it is important for people to fix scripts/bots and that way we can learn from it. More rule changes will be added since I need to make myself a list of all the stupidity that spreads around here. Get used to calling me Czar Steve, since we are running into a dictatorship. | Moderator ![]() | Re: New Rules Regarding RuneScape (READ!) I'm afraid of talking to you now. ... ... Nah, really... Don't you think a ban for asking a question that can be found an aswer on in the stickies, is just a bit extreme? |

| Super Moderator ![]() | Re: New Rules Regarding RuneScape (READ!) Steve might offer a first time offense buffer... but I probably wont. Because of whats been going on in here, Im going to keep an eye on this section to help him out. If there is anything out of line, I will personally ban you. Mostly because of the fact that Im a mean bastard... but its really fun too. |

Well, i think it should be like that, this is because a lot of people ask stupid questions like "how do i use scar?" when there is a scar thread just for it. or, they ask questions they know the answer to like "how do i hack runescape" when the question was answered a few threads back...i just think the thank button should be a ban if it is a first time post, and a warn if it is more than one post, because people just say thx ill try this to get that 1 post to keep their account-.- but anyways CONGRATS ON BEING MOD STEVE!

| Mega Man Hunter ![]() | Re: New Rules Regarding RuneScape (READ!) The only thing I changed was increasing "wrong section" and "gravedigging" infractions to 15 points. Otherwise everything is standard...unless someone decides to octuple post. That would call for an immediate ban.

| Moderator ![]() | Re: New Rules Regarding RuneScape (READ!) Steve, let me suggest something. Change the topic title to something in-eye-falling like... ...::New Rules Regarding The RuneScape Section::... |

| Mega Man Hunter ![]() | Re: New Rules Regarding RuneScape (READ!) Well, if people choose to ignore to read the stickies, that means I get to warn more. So hopefully people will get the message when they are already at 50%.

| Registered User | Re: New Rules Regarding RuneScape (READ!) I agree, if there are new rules in the forum, it should be eye-catching, and let spammers know that they will be banned for spamming and not just a warn. In other words, it makes people think twice before spamming.
