It is almost not worth brute forcing a runescape account for a few reasons, the main one being, you time out after 5 attempts. You would have to set up some kind of array of I.P's to use as proxies to continuously "Brute" the account. Password lists get huge, and passwords can be quite complex making brute force yet another reason to not be worth it. Brute forcing should be your "fall back" and is treated as such by alot of people because of the length of time it takes to crack a password. With the restriction of 5 attempted logins per I.P it makes it that much worse, do the math on the amount of I.P's you would need.
The best way would be to continuously send in forgotten password requests explaining to them what has happened. DO NOT give up on this first try, it took me 3 tries to get back my account "Pops" take a look...
Sorry for the size of the image, CBF'd to resize it.
1476 days of inactivity, if you keep at it and say that YOU haven't logged onto the account or that it may have been inactive for quite a long time, it could work in your favor, as it did for me. Don't give up, it sucks losing a really good character. Yours may not be good(doesnt really matter) It's just nice to be on one of your original characters.
On a side note, if your just trying to steal an account, I hope you fail.
That is all!
P.S. "Pops" Was stolen from me when I got keylogged, which I found quite a piss off, obviously you learn from your mistakes. I actually got alot of information on the individual who took the account from me, thats beside the point, or the quick comment I was going to make. "Pops" was said to be a 99 smither on RsC, sadly I never got to see him there. I still do have an RsC char but it's nothing like your first. LATER!
