How to make a server for vista users
wanna show you
since more people are upgrading and vista settings are diffrent to xp

------------------------------------
ok first before anything we need jdk6u5 witch is the latest jdk go to the site here

2)you will need no-ip so downlod it here

once you have downloaded open it up and it will pop up in the right hand corner of your screen click show



-click add host
after thats finished open up no-ip and click refresh

and thats your no-ip finished.

To play a server you will need a source.
You can make your own client but for newcomers it is not very helpful.
so i sujest these servers that are already built just ready to be edited

• project czar (silabs)

skillcapes god swords ect if you are into that thing
you could always go to moparscape donwload page and choose your own

4)making 43594 your default port ok first go to control pannel
-open up network & internet
-then click on windows firewall
-then click allow program through firewall
-next click add port
-call it "runescape private server"
-port "43594"
-and make sure its tcp

5) getting portfowarding done
i know most people find portfowarding hard so dont flame me
first go to.
iv noticed people dont know there router password username is :admin password

choose your router type
e.g echo lifehg520s
once you have clicked it you will see soemthing saying
If you do not see the program you are forwarding ports for, be sure to visit our Default Guide for this route
click the default guide
and it will show you the default guide of making your rouer accept ports
tip where it asks for a static ip put 192.186.1.2 as a eg.

6)eviromental vairables
ok this is easy if you know how to copy paste lol
first go to control pannel



then switch to classic veiw and click system


then advanced system settings


then click on eviromental vairables


then click new


-Name it "CLASSPATH" and for the "Variable Value"
and because we downloaded jdk6u5 we need to put in
CLASSPATH=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_05\bin;%CLASSPATH%;



now Under User Variables click New.

Name it "PATH" and for the Variable Value.
and fill it with C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_05\bin


now click ok
then ok again
then ok forthe third time
now your laptop/computer reconizes java

7)
ok this isnt really to do with making a server but i know this is what lot of people struggle with
compileing right open up your source
go onto compile right click then edit

now do ctrl+a
and deleate eveything and fill with this
@ECHO OFF
title Server
"C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_05\bin\javac.exe" -cp . *.java
pause

to run your server simpley open up your source and click run.bat
and it should say your source is online
i hope i helped all vista users that wanted to make a server
i did this purely to make a vista guide for people
this is not leeched it is just a upgrade of god of ikii'sguide but in a vista version so i guess ill have to say
