Pros
-His ulti, Permanent Invisibility
-In case you've been living under a rock, other heroes cannot see you unless they buy wards or gem
-Backstab, deals bonus damage equals to 2x ur Agility -i think its 2x

Cons
-His low life (its not that low, if you know how to work with it)
-His invisibility, it takes some getting used to
-If ur noob, players with wards/gem will see u as easy meat

Skill Build
-theres many way to play, depending on the enemy and how u wanna kill
-this are the 2 most popular playing methods

Skill build 1(smokescreen)
-recommended against melee opponents who are capable of sitting inside the smoke and still kill u without casting spell, eg:centaur
-by maxing ur smoke at lvl 7, no one touches u in the smoke, even razor and centaur
1-smokescreen
2-backstab
3-smokescreen
4-blink strike
5-smoke screen
6-permanent invisibility
7-smokescreen
8-backstab
9-blink stirke
10-backstab
11-permanent invisibility
12-blink strike

and so on..

skill bulid 2(backstab)
-i recomend this build to those who master the art of harassing using riki (capable of sneaking up, attack and dissapear before the opponent even knows what happen
-with the right items, this build deals heavy damage
-for "hit-n-fade" players
1-backstab
2-smoke screen (used to silence the opponent while u fade, not for the miss)
3-backstab
4-blink strike
5-backstab
6-permanent invi
7-backstab
8-blink strike
9-blink strike
10-blink strike(with lvl4 blink strike,you deal 120dmg + backstab)
11-perma invi
12-17-stats
17-20-smokescreen
20-25-stats

theres many more, all depending on how you play
experiment and learn

Early Game Strategies and Builds
this is how i play my riki
-get a ring of regen/the "tango" (something that lets u eat trees) and as many slippers as possible

-if u r not very good, or u r not confident u can solo, folo a ranged teammate n farm

-if u r good, den solo

-remember not to be greedy (2 or 3 creeps per wave is good enuf)

-if farming is done well, by lvl6 you will have enuff for a ring of health

-get the ring and start farming ur late game items

-HARASS!
*when ur invi, once in a while just blink strike and backstab
*this is to pressure them and slow the farming process
*f timed right, they wont be able to even turn around

-once ur invisible, try standing beside ur opponents
why?
*heroes with wave (krobelus) occasionally spam it
*standing beside them means that you are out of the way of the wave

Builds
-Butterfly
*the evasion makes him practically untouchable
*with the smokescreen, you're a god
*the extra Agility gives him extra backstab damage
*the extra speed, well, lets him kill faster (duh!)

-Eye of Skadi
*the 25 agility gives extra backstab damage
*the 25 strength gives more life
*the 25 intel gives more mana (its not like riki hav skill to spam anyway)
*slows enemy, you should see when they're running from you, blood keeps splilling (backstab) its an awesome sight

-S&Y
*boosts life and speed
*the maim (if ur lucky) saves the Blink Strike manacost, the delay, and gives you a few extra hits instead of just one (blink strike)

-Burize
*the extra 75 damage - correct me if im wrong
*the criticals -with backstab, it really hurts
-without backstab, it still hurts
*the criticals also helps u kill fast

-Divine Rapier
*the extra 250 damage, well, you know what it does

-Desolator
*reduces armor, increase ur damage
*critical damage increases too

-Basher
*for those who wanna sit back and enjoy their kill

-Mask of Madness
*the 17% lifesteal gives a lot of life, especially while backstabing
*Berserk, well the name explains it already

-Diffusal Blade
*purge, like maim, it gives you a few extra hits

-Manta Style
*if ur opponent team have casters/disablers, send ur illusion to them first, after they spammed their skills, then you atk


Killing
-if ur opponents are dumb enuf not to buy wards/gem, well it should be easy for you to kill
-sneak up behind them, backstab, cast a smoke and do what riki do best (kill!)
-blink strike when you are unable to catch up with them, or when ur teammate tries to ks you

-killing in the presence of wards/gem
-you cannot sneak up anymore, because the opponent can see you
-instead, blink strike behind them (backstab) and cast a smoke
-the same thing happens (duh)

Extras
1. riki, basically is easily mastered. however, those who do not practice riki, well, lack certain skills (when/where to smoke, when to blink strike)

2. riki is a denying god. he disappears, then reappears, knocks out a creep, and fade again (use the invi!)

About the itembuild:

-S&Y
I've read that some people who use Rikki in CWs (wtf, Rikki in CWs? Oo) buy 3 S&Y to improve the chance of maiming and his low health.

-Divine Rapier
Well, due to Rikkis low health he will lose it to fast. As long as you face noobs without wards or gems you will own them with Divine + Backstap, but if they use a ward they'll get a free Divine ~.~

-Mask of Madness
Only usefull if you have a Skadi or something to slow a running hero.

-Manta Style
Defnitly a good item for Rikki, but I use this itemslot for a Maelstrom. Yes, a Mealstrom... It really works if you get it in the early game.


Suggestions:
-Maelstrom
Slight AGI improvement
Better farming
Rikki has a nice attackspeed, so he has a good chance for a chain lightening
It gets you more gold than it costs

-Radiance
Its a mean item on him ^^
Stay invis and follow your enemy, or kill the creeps while standing invis next to them

-Guinsoo
Most players will try to run away if they become a shepp -> Backstap
Good for chasing heros with high ms
Saves time to become invis again

-Heart
If you are about to die run till you are invis and heal... In most of the games HoT is not necassary, but it can save you from serval trips to the fountain.


Btw. Backstap is 1x Agility

Hmm. I thought riki was supposed to be a last hit, fade out kind of hero. Unless you're going to farm without invis (which is not exactly smart), why would you want this? I'll rather get an orb that can help in hero killing like Deso. After all, riki is a hero killer, not a farmer.

Edit: Oh and Telefonmann, isin't it true that if you get radiance, the enemies will know that you're there and back off? Correct me if im wrong.

Edit #2: And getting multiple SnY(s) is useless. The maim chance does not stack.

Edit #3 (Blah): Last time I checked, Skadi IS an orb effect on melee heroes, and MoM or any other form of lifesteal will NOT stack with it.
