from one problem to the next

ok, so i was getting this pop-up with all this gibberish in it evertime i pressed start at the sro client startup screen. so i changed sro client, actual sro, and nubot to compatibility of windows 98 and a new box now shows up always.... it has this in it, and its got 2 question marks below it:

OS : Windows 98 (build 67766446)
CPU : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
Memory : Physical(1982.5MB), Page(3874.6MB), Virtual(2047.9MB)
Graphic Card : HAL (mixed vp): NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE
Graphic Card Version : 6.14.0010.8205
Graphic Driver Date :
Build(exe) : [2007-03-06] [09:30:12]

what does this box mean? and how can i get past it? please help

idk but i got that problem also and fixed it. did you do: 127.0.0.1.gwgt1.joymax.com in ur hosts file?

I get same problem when i try to run sro normally..just run it from srobot. even if srobot isnt working. you should be able to play sro now.

Please go through the following and the problem should be gone.
- Latest Video Driver

- Check your resolution settings.

- Do a WINDOWS UPDATE inspection and download all avaliable updates.

If your monitor is set too high, and the game is set to low, it is possible to receive this error. To change your game resolution while not being in game select OPTION on the loading menu instead of START.

example
I just installed a 19 Widescreen monitor and the resolution is set to 1440x900. When I load Silkroad, the game crashes and receives ????? error. Silkroad does support widescreen now, so you must match its ingame settings to 1440x900 as well.

the bot sometimes messes around with your settings so u get errors once in a while. just keep retrying and after a few tries it should work

It doesnt. I'm getting the gibbrish pop-up every time. i think I forgot to replace sro_client.exe but I'll try after the expansion.

If your talking about the Korean (I think) popup that has the number 9 at the end. That means the server is full. Close the error and try again... keep trying until it goes into SRO. This always happens to me at peaktime.
