Lightbulb Keylogger or not? Keeping your account safe.

Everyone knows how irritating it is to get hacked on sro. There are however a few ways to get hacked. The most common is a keylogger as we know. There are other ways, but i'm gonna tell you guys how to keep your account safe if you think your pc has a keylogger.
If your antivirus does not find anything, it does not mean that your pc is not infected with a keylogger. (I hate that).
(Remember this, a hacker can see all the things you do on your keyboard. So id and password, but also what you are typing on xfire, msn and whatever.)

If you really think you have a keylogger do this: Go to silkroadonline.net and change your password USING METHOD 1. (You need your secret answer lol, better change that one 2 if possible)

Ok this is what you can do to prevent you will get hacked.
Method 1.
-Windows has a onscreen keyboard. If you use this you won't need to press any keys on your keyboard, and a hacker cannot see what you are not pressing on your keyboard. (Use it when typing your id and password.) After that you can deactivate it. This is how to activate it:

Mouse actions:
On the Start menu:
  • Point to All Programs.
  • Point to Accessories.
  • Point to Accessibility.
  • Select On–Screen Keyboard.
Note: A message box with a link to more information about the On–Screen Keyboard may appear. To close the box, select OK.
Display the Start menu by pressing CTRL+ESC (or the Windows logo key ).

Keyboard Actions:
  • Move to All Programs by pressing P.
  • If it does not open automatically, press ENTER to open the All Programs menu.
  • Move to Accessories by pressing the DOWN ARROW key.
  • Press ENTER.
  • Select Accessibility by pressing ENTER.
  • Move to On–Screen Keyboard by pressing the DOWN ARROW key.
  • Press ENTER.
Note: A message box with a link to more information about accessibility utilities may appear. To close the box, press ALT+TAB to select the message box, and then press ENTER. Then, press ALT+TAB to select the document in which you want to begin working.

*I copied this from microsoft homepage cuz im to lazy to type it myself.
Very simple and effective.

Method 2.
-This method is very simple but difficult for me to explain, you must get used to it before you master this cause else it will take you very long:
You don't need anything for it. Type your password and id just like normally except that you leave out some letters or place some more letters.
For example: password is 'Gamerzplanet' , don't type the whole word but type this 'Gaerzanet'. So you left out the m,p and l. Now move WITH YOUR CURSOR/MOUSE to the spot where those letters are supposed to be, and complete the password.
You can also make your password longer like 'Gamalerzpli83a39net' and delete letters and numbers. But this takes longer, and sucks.
However DON'T use the arrow keys on your keyboard.

Method 3. For the real paranoia ppl among us.
-Combine Method 1. and 2. lolzzzzz
Hoped I helped you.

Ps. Yes I know that I used some stuff from other ppl, but hey, they aren't here are they?

Re: Keylogger or not? Keeping your account safe.

don't work with updated keylogger programs.

They log everything, including virtual keyboard with auto completion :P.

one fake bot that posted before, has this type of keylogger; it log s everything: applications, windows acitivites, keyboard , and mouse.

Yes, you 're totally right, but they also have higher chance of getting busted by any antivirus program.

. nothing is impossible :) a perfect match is antivirus-firewall:) antivirus can not detect, when a malicious program send your login-password. that is firewall job :). one of the fake bot from previous posting, using "push and pull" mechanism. :P. antivirus can not detect it, but firewall does.
