If you do not know what IRC, it stands for Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of instant communication over the Internet. It is mainly designed for group (many-to-many) communication in discussion forums called channels, but also allows one-to-one communication.

If you do not have a irc client, you can download [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or use the browser based client (java scripted), which the link is provided below:

Here is the servers and channel information for those who are using a irc client, such as mirc, xchat...etc:
Server:
irc.gamerzplanet.net
Alternatively, you can use irc.xploitirc.net
Alternatively, you can use 72.20.15.252

Channel:
#gamerzplanet
#silkroad

HOW TO USE MIRC?

1. Download the appropriate IRC client software.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is recommended

2. Install & Then run the shortcut.

3. Follow these steps:

a. "File"
b. "Select Server..."
c. "Add"
d. Description: SRO
e. IRC Server = 72.20.15.252
f. click "Add"

4. Edit any remaining fields to reflect your preferences.

5. With SRO selected as the server to which you wish to connect, click "connect to IRC server."

7. Enter /list to see a list of all available channels.

8. Enter /join #silkroad to enter the main channel.

9. Then go to the status screen and type:

/ns register password email

Replace password with the password of your choice.
Replace email with your email.

10. Now your nick name is registered. To make things easier, so you do no have to log in each time to the server, press Alt+O; Click "Connect"; Click "Options"; Click "Perform".

Now type this into the blank box:

  /ns identify password

Replace password with the password you used when registering your nick with the server.

The Rules of GzP SRO

a. GzP != GzP IRC

i. As long as you are in the #gamerzplanet or #silkroad channel, you are still under GzP rules.

b. Respect

i. All around, users will respect staff, and staff will likewise respect the users
ii. This doesn’t mean you can’t voice your opinion, but do so in a respectful manner
iii. Do not make any knowingly derogatory remarks, if it’s a joke that’s fine, but if somebody asks you to stop, then stop

c. Impersonation

i. Do not impersonate another user with the aim to slander that users reputation
ii. This doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to change your nick to somebody else’s, but don’t seriously act like you’re them
iii. If it’s funny, and everybody knows about it, you’ll probably be fine, but don’t let other people think you are really the user you’re impersonating

d. Requesting Hacks & Spamming

i. Simple, don’t. Use you’re best judgment when it comes to spamming, it can be funny, but it’s not always

e. Consequences
You may repeat any one of these if you feel it necessary instead of moving up to a higher punishment

i. You will be kicked from the channel, if you auto-rejoin fine, but be warned
ii. You will be temporarily banned from the channel
iii. You will be temporarily banned from the network
iv. You will be permanently banned from the channel
v. You will be permanently banned from the network
