weird character

hi,

I can't figure out how to fix this problem, please see attaching image. Can someone help me with? It has little boxes instead of letters.

My comp spec is:
AMD athon 1.2GHz
512MB RAM
ATI RADEON 9200SE with latest driver
Window XP SP2
DirectX 9.0C

Let me know if you need more info

ok to fix this
click the game without a bot so you see the start button like you were going to update. don't click start on the left will be options. even thought its on English click it again and start the game
