Talking SP farming guide

Introduction
Skill Point Farming is something very important to consider when you are starting a new character. It can help you greatly in the long run and help you become a strong player. The main point of farming is to collect all the skill points that you can in the beginning when it is easiest. This can however be very boring and stressful at times. I warn everyone who does not have a large patience to not even try to farm. It costs too much gold and requires too much time.
What You Need
The first thing you want to do when you start you character is make the starting weapon a bow. You can change this later. You want the bow so you can kill everything a lot faster and not have to run up to everything. You can just stay in once place and kill everything in sight. Another thing you will want to do is stop leveling your masteries at level seven. You need to have a nine level gap between your mastery level and your character level. I will explain this more in depth a little later in the tutorial. Get your Pacheon mastery to level seven and stop there. Then you want to level the first skill to level 2. Now I do not suggest getting the second bow skill where you shoot two arrows at once. You can do more damage by just hitting the monster twice with out the skill. It is a waste of skill points.
Next you want to get your Fire or Ice imbune to level 2. This will require your Fire or Ice mastery to be level seven. Make sure you stop at level seven and do not go any higher. I would suggest using the Ice imbune at first. This way you can kill the monsters before they can get to you. However once you start to farm you may want to switch to Fire. Fire hits harder and does more damage. You want to kill the monsters in one hit so there is not need for the Ice imbune.
Another thing you will require is a Seal of Star, Moon, or Sun bow. It must be level 16. If your bow is a Seal of Star, you will want it to be a plus five and have every blue it possibly can have on it, the same goes for a Seal of Moon bow. Now I am not too sure about a Seal of Sun bow, but I am sure having a plus five and all blues on it would not hurt. These bows however will cost you a bit of a fortune. A Seal of Star bow with plus three or four costs around seven to ten million gold. A Seal of Moon bow that is plus five will cost you around fifty to sixty million. I am not to sure about a Seal of Sun but I am sure it would cost around one-hundred to one-hundred and fifty million gold. It is not cheap. Use your money wisely.
Another thing that you will need is some good equipment. Now it does not have to be Seal of Star or anything like that, but it would help. You will need to get strength on everything you possibly can, and you want the strength to be one hundred percent. This will help you kill the monsters in one hit. This way you can get done with farming quicker. If you do not know how to add strength to equipment read my alchemy tutorial.
There are many different types of equipment that you can use. I personally suggest you use armor. This way you will not lose as much health when something hits you. You can also use garment so you do not waste as much blue potions. Either way you will lose something and gain something else. It all depends on what you want to use. You will want to work on adding all the attributes and getting the gear as good as you can. This way when you want to sell it, you can charge more.
Another thing you will want to get is a Dragon Flag. If you are a male this can get a little expensive. It can cost you anywhere from six million to ten million. It all depends on what server you are on. Female flags however are less expensive. These flags will give you strength two and intellect two attributes.
Where to Farm
The most popular place to farm is the bandit stronghold. You attack archers and collect skill points that way. If you have a good bow and good equipment you will not have many problems in there, however it is pretty stressful. You have a lot of farmers in there fighting over a place to farm. You also have to worry about the characters that are trying to complete a quest.
Now when you are farming here you will want to find a corner where no one else is and stay there. Do not try to take up the whole side of the Stronghold; just try to keep your corner. You will have other farmers try to steal it, and other characters trying to complete their quest there. All you have to do is try to kill the archers before they can even hit them. If they start to hit them just be nice and let them kill it. You do not want to become a kill stealer there.
Another alternative to this is fighting Tigers and Young Tigers. You do need a Seal of Moon bow and good equipment to kill these in one hit, but they do give you more skill points and you do not have to worry about fighting for a spot to farm. This is my favorite compared to the other alternative.
I am not sure how hard it is to farm there with a Seal of Star bow, but you can try and find out. If it turns out to be too hard and difficult you can always just move to the Stronghold. It all depends on what works for you.
What to Farm
Well obviously you will be farming Skill Points. You do however need to know how much skill points you want to farm. If you only need to farm two hundred and fifty skill points, you do not want to farm four hundred. You can use a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to find out how many you need to farm.
Now the hardest way to farm is to collect everything you need at once. This takes the longest time and will require a lot of patience. Not too many people try to do this. Many of them just farm one hundred and fifty skill points and then level with a gap. This however means you have to keep your mastery level three levels below your character level.
The other way to farm is to break it up into different sections. You want to use the character builder to find all the skills you want at level fifty. Then you just collect all those skill points and move on. Then once you get your mastery to level fifty you stop leveling it and keep leveling your character to level fifty nine. Then you just start to collect skill points again for another level.
I like farming like this because you do not spend so much time farming in one place and you will feel like you are accomplishing something. But again, it is all about what works for you and what you are willing to do. It is time consuming but it helps a lot on the long run. This will help you become a strong character.
Gaps
Now every time you want to skill point farm you want to have a gap between your character level and the mastery level. This will help you get more skill points. The way a gap works is the smaller the gap the more experience and the less skill points you get. The larger the gap the less experience points you get and the more skill points you get. Now after you have a nine level gap you want to stop. You get the same amount of skill points with a nine level gap than a ten level gap. It would just be useless to have a gap larger than nine.
Gold and Silver Tickets
To help you farm faster you may want to consider a Golden or Silver ticket. These will give you a one hundred percent to a fifty percent boost to your skill points and experience. It really does make a difference in the amount of time it takes to farm.
Now with the addition of the Gold and Silver Skill Ticket it even makes it better. You can have a two hundred percent boost on your skills. For example, at level sixteen with a nine level gap you get one hundred and twenty eight skills points per archer. Now with a Gold Ticket you would get two hundred and fifty six skill points per skill. Along with the Gold Skill Ticket you will get five hundred and twelve skill points per kill. This helps you out greatly.
Another thing that you will have to do is join a party. You want the parties that can only hold four characters and not eight. If you join a party with eight characters your tickets will be disabled. Joining to one with four people will just give you another skill point boost. With the Golden Tickets and the party you should be able to get around one skill point per kill. If you can kill them in one hit you will get all the skill points you need in no time.
Committing Suicide
The most important part of farming is killing your character to keep him or her at one level while you farm. This has to be the most annoying part of farming. Once your character dies you lose experience points but not skill points. This is how you can collect two hundred skill points and be level sixteen.
The easiest way to do this is have a friend who you trust that can resurrect come to the stronghold and help you out. You want to take everything you have off and give it to your friend. Once you die you have a chance of losing something out of your inventory. It might be your expensive bow or just some potions. I would not take the chance.
Once you have everything off just let bandits kill you and then have your friend resurrect you. Make sure you leave yourself at least two percent at level sixteen. This way if you accidentally die again, you will not go down a level. I suggest de-leveling at level seventeen when you have around eighty percent. This way you can spend more time farming, but you do not have to spend a lot of time dieing.
If you do not have a friend it does get a little harder to de-level. You have to put all of your items in storage so you do not lose them. Then head over to Donwhang. Make sure you set Donwhang as your recall point so you do not go back to Jangan. Run out of the gates and let an Earth Ghost kill you and respawn in town. You repeat this until you get to level sixteen at two percent.
Making Farming Easier
When you are farming I am sure that you get very bored very quickly. One way that you can help reduce boredom is to switch between the ice imbune and the fire imbune. This will not do much, but it will give you something else to look at. If you can kill the archers in one hit with the fire imbune then you should be able to do the same with the ice imbune.
Another thing that can help you is if you listen to music that you like. If you focus more on the music than on the farming itself then you will get one thousand skill points in no time. It is all about what you focus on. I suggest that you do not listen to any music that can be depressing or make you get in a bad mood. You may end up getting mad at farming and quit.
One last thing that you can do to make farming go by faster is use the ctrl key and the “x” key. If you hold down ctrl then you only have to click on the monster once and your character will attack it. You will want to move your imbune to your mouse slot. That way when you click on “x” your imbune will go off as well. This way you are not clicking so many buttons. You only have to focus on doing three things.
Conclusion
Farming is boring and can take a lot of time. You may end up quitting or just stop playing the game all together. The benefits however are high. You can become a strong player and not have to worry about what you think you should use your skill points on. You just need to have patience and be strong. If you feel I left anything out in this guide or need to elaborate on anything please send me an e-mail and let me know.
