Introduction

One of the most intriguing features of Silkroad Online is alchemy. It allows you to enhance the equipment’s specifications and improve them. There is always the possibility that it will fail however, and it can cost a bit of gold. You just have to remember that alchemy is all about luck, and there is really no way to make an alchemy one hundred percent successful.
A few things that you will want to do first are to gather all the items that can be disassembled into elements. You will want to buy Void Rondo; it will dismantle these items into four different elements such as water, fire, earth, and wind. These are a very important part in stone alchemy and you will need to gather all that you can. You can also buy these elements from stalls around town, but sometimes they can be a bit expensive.
Along with collecting elements, you will want to collect different tablets. You can read the description of the tablets to find out what each one does. If you want to modify your weapon, you don’t need tablets that modify accessories. You will want to hang on to them for later use.
Now you might have noticed that the tablets have different levels on them. The level of the tablet corresponds with the degree of the item. You can’t place a level four stone, on fifth degree equipment. You also may notice that sapphire tablets don’t modify anything; however you see the name of an item. If you added the necessary amount of elements to the tablet, you would get the item stated.

Stone Alchemy

The easiest and safest alchemy is stone alchemy. When you add all the necessary elements to a tablet the product is a stone. Now you many wonder how to turn a tablet into a stone. It is very simple once you get the hang of it.
If you look at the tool-tip of the tablet, you will see a list of four elements, a level, and a number. The four elements are earth, water, fire, and wind as I have explained before. They all have different levels, that can be identified by the roman numeral on the icon of the element. It is also stated in the name if you have a hard time with roman numerals.
Now grab the tablet and the correct amount of elements and get them all in your inventory. If you press the “y” key, you will gain access to the alchemy window. This is where you will make your stone. You should see an open slot, with four green gems surrounding it, and then eight closed slots.
Take your tablet, and place it in the open slot. Four of the eight closed ones should have opened. Now place all the elements that the tablet requires. Once you have that completed, press fuse all, and you will see your first stone. This is the first step in enhancing your equipment to make them stronger, and improving them.
Now, to fuse the stone into your equipment, open the alchemy item again, by pressing “y”. Now you want to select the Att.Enchance tab. This will bring you to a window with one open slot with four purple slots surrounding it, and four closed slots. Place the equipment you want to enhance in the open slot. One of the closed slots should have opened. Place the stone in the slot that just opened. Then click fuse, and see the magic at work.
You may notice that on the bottom of the stone, you see a percentage. This is not the success rate as many think, however the chance it has of changing something it was not meant to. This can vary from the physical attack power, to the critical of the weapon. The lower this number is, the better chances you have at improving your weapon, instead of making it worse. In the end, it all comes down to luck.

Elixir Alchemy

This style of alchemy is a lot more risky. It has its ups and downs, and can be a hassle at times. You need to understand again, this is all about luck. You may end up spending a lot of money, just to have it all fly out the window, and the alchemy rating, sent right back down to zero. Be prepared to be disappointed at times, and to find yourself broke.
You may have picked up elixirs while fighting monsters. Weapon, protector, shield, and accessory elixirs are all valuable items. Weapon and protector elixirs are the most valuable, and shield and accessory elixirs are the least valuables. You can make a small fortune selling these items, or you can try to use them and enhance your equipment.
In my example, I will assume you have a weapon elixir and want to use it. First thing you will want to do is go to the Grocery Trader of the town, and buy Lucky Power that corresponds with the weapon’s degree. If you have a fourth degree weapon, you need to buy Lucky Powder level four. This will increase the chances that the alchemy will be a success.
Press “y” and bring up the alchemy window, and switch it to Att.Enchance. You then want to place the weapon of choice in the open slot surrounded by purple gems. You should then see one of the four closed slots beside it open. Place the Weapon Elixir in the slot that just opened. Again, a slot beside it opened. Place the Lucky Power in this slot. Then cross your fingers and click fuse.
If you are aiming for a plus one, then you should always expect a success. The higher you get, the worse your chances get at increasing the rating. If you are lucky enough to get it to a plus four you may want to take Astral Stones in consideration.
These stones will keep the rating from dropping below a plus four; so all your work isn’t lost. They do however cost real money and you will have to purchase silk to get a hold of one. After you have silk you can purchase the stone from the Item Mall.
There is one attribute that can be added to your equipment to help its chance of success in alchemy. It is called Lucky. It acts like lucky powder and will increase your chance of a success. This combined with Lucky Powder can greatly increase your chances of a success.

Conclusion

This guide should have given you a basic knowledge of how to perform alchemy. You just have to remember it is all about luck, and you might not be lucky at times. Many people get mad at it because they lose millions of gold. You just need to know when to quit.

Thanks for this post :) ...i already knew alot of this except that other thing about LUCKY ;) ...but i really had bad luck with weapons and + them .like i could always get it to +1 but never +2..but after that i thought maby if some1 else did a + on it that maby it will have more chance than usual and so far its really helped me ..im at +3 now ..and ill try get to +4 when i am confident i have enough money...but all i did was give my friend a weapon elxier ..lucky dust.conresponisng to degree ..and my weapon ..each time i + it i give it to a different friend to do it .Do you think this really does increase your chances to + your stuff ? :)
