desktop help!!!

ok so i restarted my comp one day then wen it turned on my desktop wasnt showing and the time one the bottom wouldnt even show not even the start button. and everythin froze. ANY OF U GUYZ KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM? IF SO PLZ POST AND TELL ME WHY AND HOW TO FIX IT

This has nothing to do with Soldier Front, go ask Google.
