| Registered User | To mods: I was unsure about making this thread. I thought it would be good to have all the SF Server Emulation discussion and info in one thread, as opposed to it being in 3 or 4 other threads. If this is spam/against the rules, delete/close the thread, and infract me or whatever. Just know I did it with good intentions. Attention: This currently does NOT make patched wallhacks unpatched! For this to happen, we need 1 of 2 things:
Please use this thread to discuss SF Server Emulation in general from now on. I'll edit it when we discover new things and such, and I may eventually add all the files discussed to this post as well. Things you will need/other information:
More things you'll need:
a) Keep the WH unpatched for people who use server emulation OR b) Unpatch currently patched WHs - We now have the NPZ files, and are working on this one. Thanks, and let the discussion begin! I know you can use an app called "gguardfile.exe" to decrypt GG .ini files. I'm not sure about the .des and .npz ones though. You can try it, of course. Just Google it I guess to find the app. Encrypting it is beyond my knowledge. You'll have to encrypt it though to really do anything with it of course, unless you just want to look at the contents. All I know is that you need a hex editor, and that might be obvious to you. Sorry I can't really help you with that. =( And thanks. =P EDIT: Also, the "[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]" thread that was posted here was hacked. lmao. So I linked to the original. Last edited by clugenheim; 01-16-2008 at 11:32 AM..

Tell us if you find anything of importance. I really don't know anything about encryption/decryption. I just recently learned about server emulation, actually. So yeah, I'm not too knowledgeable about these things. =P I'm still learning..

| Registered User | Re: Unofficial SF Server Emulation Information and Discussion Thread So, I'm about to suggest something that would really take a brain for coding to accomplish. Something I don't have, but someone here may. Okay, we know the program that decrypts the files, right? Basically, someone with some coding experience could maybe disect the program that decrypts the files, do some reverse engineering, and make a program that re-encrypts the files? Then mitch's idea of setting the ggscan option to 0(or false), might be possible. Just bouncing ideas out there. I know there are some really smart people on here, so, as out of my league as this option may be.. it's worth mentioning. Until someone comes along and points out what wouldn't work lol. |
