Curious about how to make my PC faster

Hi GZP members, this is a threat to people who know enough about computers to help me out a bit. problem is that i lagg alot in soldier front.

1. There is the problem, i live in dakar, Senegal, the most western tip of african and the lowest ping i ever got on soldier front was "238"

2. I have an assembled PC with these stats: "AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+, 512MB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache"

3. I have the low memory space of 51,2Go and 23,2Go free space. I recently used a registry cleaner so i doubt that i could anymore free space unless i delete some movies and music.

I was wondering if anyone new anyway to increase the capacity of my PC, other than buying new pieces and stuff like that??

if u want to make ur comp faster just go on google and type in hare ram accelerator which is a free program that doubles ur ram. Unfortunately its a trial and i have the crack version but i cbb to post it on here.

pretty much no matter what you do, you won't make your ping any better....

you can make your pc go a bit faster tho....
(guessing you're running winxp)

click start, click run, type- msconfig -then press return
click the services tab, click hide all microsoft services, then click disable all
click the startup tab, then click disable all

that should make quite a bit diffference (if there's any junk on your pc it will!)

tho this will disable anything that starts up when your pc does..... if theres anything you want to start with the pc (virus scanner etc..?) just run them in windows and they should all set themselvs to start with the pc

or do the start, run, msconfig thing again... but tick the boxes next to the stuff you want to keep ;)

tho I'd advise to disable it all first and restart, just so you can see how fast it is !

Lol, Andrew. I doubt he would want to move from Africa to California =Þ. Anyway there is a way to do this. Go to disk Defragment. I'm not sure where it is on normal Windows XP given the fact that I don't have XP, I use vista. Once your in the disk defragment, It will compile all of your folders to make them take up less room and delete any un-necessary files from your computer.

You can't change your ping. The only way soldier front can change your ping is if they add a ping limiter the highest ping you will get is 15.

Ping isnt really how fast your computer is dude -,-

with them specs it looks like its pretty fast or regular im not a freaking tech spec dude

but ping isnt how fast your comp is its your conection to the ijji server (in cali) your probably at least 100 which is normal but since ur like across the atlantic ocean your ping is gonna be high its probably not your computer dont go adding parts and doing stuff that isnt needed.

Yeah...your computer specs suck, to say the least. Your running a AMD 3.0 processor (not bad, have one in my other computer) but your memory and videocard are terrible, at the very least you should be running a gig of RAM and 7000+ series video card. You could upgrade both for around $80.
