My hands on reviews.

If anyone is interested (no one lol)

These are what I think of the games I have so far.

Call of Duty 4: I absolutely love this game. It's very fast and action paced online, I haven't even really played the storyline to tell the truth, but my brother has and it's actually really good. The online is addictive, and this is probably one of the best FPS games I've played in a long time. I love the effects of being able to shoot through certain objects like thin metal and dry wall which adds a great effect to this game and plays a big role between life and death.

The graphics are really amazing, and there are quite a bit of guns to suite whatever need you need to kill. The damage system is very good, the guns and damage are balanced very well, the custom classes is a great feature and adds a new aspect to the game that varies from Call of Duty 3. What I do miss about Call of Duty 3 would have to be is no medical class, I personally thought it was alot of fun to revive people that are in need.

They don't have vehicles in this game, but I felt the vehicles in Call of Duty 3 had very bad control and wasn't that great, but it was still pretty fun to jump in a jeep and shoot up some enemies. If you have a PS3, this game is a MUST to get.

Resistance Fall of Man: I happen to like this game alot, let me start off with the good things before I have a few dislikes.(Let's face it, no game is perfect)

The storyline to me was absolutely great it was just a incredible storyline and was so much fun and really just grabbed me into it. I liked the different maps and variations of the places you go, you start off in the midst of battle, then you end up on a alien space ship, it was just alot of fun to battle in all these different types of settings, and the environments looked pretty nice.

The guns were inventive and really interesting to use, for example: There is a gun where you can use the secondary attack to track onto a enemy and the bullets you shoot after fly directly towards the enemy. I felt that I had to use different guns for alot of different moments, when I was shooting far away enemies I used the sniper, when there were extremely close enemies I would use the shotgun, the damages and the way to use each gun was very interesting.

What also was very fun was the vehicles. In certain levels you would be able to drive a tank, drive a alien machine, and drive a jeep. The tank was a load of fun to drive and blow shit up. The alien machine, was also very interesting to drive and fight with, even though it was only one short level. The jeep was actually a incredible amount to jump off cliffs and jumps with. I wish they would have used more vehicles in levels.

Now time for the complaints,
First of all, aiming through the sight was very strange and quite annoying to use, you had to press the R3 down to aim through your sight for more accurate shooting, I really didn't like that, I wish they would have used something more easier to reach for like L1 or something for aiming through the sight. Although, you didn't use much of the sight on guns besides the sniper rifle.

I felt the online was very lackluster also, it just didn't seem alot of fun, I think the online could have been greatly improved, but also at the same time, it seemed like the online was more of a afterthought after the initial storyline. I didn't play much of the online, but it wasn't very good. One more thing I WISH they would have added is...VEHICLES ONLINE, that would have brought a whole new aspect to the online maps, and potentially make it more fun, and they would make bigger maps for more fun. But as I stated before, online seemed like a afterthought, and by what they've been saying and what I'm thinking, is that Resistance 2 will have great online now that Insomniac realizes that online is a huge part of a FPS (Like CoD4 for example) and they've claimed to have a 60 (?) player battle online, which that would REALLY make my draw drop.

The melee was also not very intriguing, he just simply swung the end of his gun at the enemies, which the animation when doing so was very bad. It seemed like they could have made it more interesting, and he seemed very stiff, it wasn't too appealing to look at.

The graphics on the game weren't that great, it was more like a mix between last-gen graphics and next-gen graphics. Some parts of it was great, some parts seemed not very good. The environments could have used more detail and textures into the buildings. I'm hoping that in the sequel they'll make the graphics more of a WOW effect. What I did love was the glass shattering effects, when you shot through a window it really just amazed me (I have no idea why..) that the glass broke so interestingly, I actually spent alot of my time shooting windows just to see the effects.(lol...) But also, you have to consider the fact that this one of the very first games to come out on the PS3 and Insomniac I'm sure, couldn't tap much of the potential of the PS3, so I'm hoping that Resistance 2 will have a jump in graphics.

The AI was one of the bad things, the people on your team were completely dumb and always got killed so easily, it seems like they barely even gave a fight, which made it feel like you were basically on your own even when you did have team mates. And the AI of the aliens was really bad, the aliens didn't have any unique movement, all they simply did was hide-come out-shoot-hide, over and over. Which made fighting them quite boring. There wasn't much variation in what each alien looked like, there were a couple different types, but the fact was there just weren't enough of different types of alien. One more thing is, that Sgt.Hale didn't talk very much at all, it's more like your commander just telling you what to do or some info on the radio.

I'm really hoping that Resistance 2 will continue to have a really great storyline like the first, and I hope they could simply improve the graphics, online, etc. So I'm just hoping they would fix alot of things in the sequel that were lackluster in the first.

This game is a great PS3 game, it does have quite a bit of low areas, it's a very interesting and fun game, it seems more like a rent, because Resistance 2 is coming out, and it would probably be a bit hard to grasp the storyline, and it's definitely a game you shouldn't miss.

Games I still need to Review:
Assassin's Creed
Lair
Motorstorm
Unreal Tournament 3
Need for Street:Pro Street
The Orange Box
Sega Rally Revo
Turning Point Fall of Liberty
Uncharted Drake's Fortune
Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction
Devil May Cry 4
Warhawk

Note:I will add more games as I get them and whenever I have the time.So remember to check back now and then.

P.S: I would LOVE to hear your opinions and reviews on these games, or ones you've played that aren't on this list. Also, sorry about the hefty reading, but this is my insight on these games, and I like to express alot of things about them.

Also, keep in mind these are HANDS ON reviews, I will never look at screenshots/videos on games and review them just from that, I review them from final builds, and once I spend a good amount of time into a game. I don't play games for half a hour, and give them a half assed review, I give the game a chance for me to become accustomed to controls and etc.

Re: My hands on reviews.

Games you really don't need to review:
Lair - We all know that the issue wasn't the "terrible control", but the shoddy gameplay.
Motorstorm - It's a runaway success, but now it fails in comparison to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (Which you should review in its stead)

Games you should rent to review:
Unreal Tournament
Assassin's Creed
NFS: Pro Street
