Dropped PSP in water

I dropped my PSP in water and let it dry and took the battery out. Everything works fine EXCEPT the battery. I tried to turn it on but wouldnt work so i put the charger in and it worked. So i let the battery charge until it said it was full. I then tried to turn it on with the battery but didnt work. I even went and bought a new battery but still dosnt work. Should i send it in? Or does anyone have a soluuion? Help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Dropped PSP in water

alright, new batter or old. do you know whats in the psp battery? no huh? i do cause i opened mines to mod it. theres a chip in there that controls how much voltage go in the battery. and it helps the system detect how much battery is left in the "battery life left" in system options. well once that chip hits water its screwed. i recommend geting a new battery.

yea that's true.... I also mod my PSP...

If you didn't drop it in water... your PSP would have survived.... I dropped my PSP at least 4 times on concrete, it just has some big ass crack...
