Re: Psp Hacked Firewall
if your trying to get cfw(custom firmware) on your psp then you have to figure two things out.
1) Which model psp you have (Psp-100X, 200X or the 300X) the psp 3000 is unhackable for now ( meaning you cant put cfw on it yet) the latest psp 2000s' Aka psp slim are unhackable also. the older ones are hackable. all the psp 1000s' are hackable.
2) assuming that youve firgured out that your psp can be hacked, now you have to find a way about doing.
2a) one way is the pandora battery (which puts the psp into service mode) and the mms (magic memory stick) which has the files needed to downgrade, update and install cfw on the psp. for a more detailed guide on this method of putting cfw on your psp just google "guide to cfw on psp".
2b) second way is getting someone that has a hacked psp with custom firmware on it. now ill be honest i dont too much about this method and probably wont attempt to hack my psp in this way because ive read its very risky meaning your psp will probably get bricked. just google this method to find out more about it.
note: small progress has been made with hacking the PSP-300X (AkA PSP Brite) such as a tool battery that has been made by datel which puts the brite into service mode, although nothing can be done with said service mode and battery yet.
Dark_Alex (creator of psp custom firmwares) has managed to run a few homebrew game on the psp through the gripshift exploit, but thats about it and the gripshift exploit is useless if your PSP-300X has ofw(Official Firmware) 5.03 (which patches said exploit.
thats about it for the PSP-3000 series for now.
Hopefully the PSP-300X can be welcomed into the homebrew community soon.
