Problem Need psp help

Ok so heres the problem.
I got a first gen PSP (original)
Heres the problem, about a year ago I downloaded a firmware update off of the PSP website. My PSP was updating and it froze, I turned it off and after that it neverr turned oon again. Ive tried changine batterys, plugging it in, getting rid of memory card and almost everything. The biggest problem is I ran out of warranty and I dont want to buy a new PSP.

Can anyone help me out?

NOTE: IM TRYING TO FIX IT WITHOUT OPENING THE PSP UP OR SPENDIN MONEY

IM SORTA HOPING FOR A GUIDE OR SOME STEPS

Well unfortunately you're going to need to spend at least some money. You can use a pandora's battery (google) and the right files to restore it to your firmware. From there you should be fine, because Pandora's battery is a "universal unbricker."

how much is it? and do you if I can buy it from futureshop, best buy etc etc? BTW I live calgary,AB Canada

It depends on whether you have a Slim PSP or a PSPhat.
Which do you have?
You may or may not need to hardmod the battery.

I have a regluar Black PSP ( first PSP THAT EVER CAME OUT)

It got bricked only pandora battery and Magic mermory stick can help you
follow theese steps below:
1.make hard mod pandora's battery like on this video
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
oh i forgot to say you said you got another battery from now on you should use that battery
2.download magic mermory stick making program it's very easy to make
3.insert pandora's battery and magic mermory stick and the rest is easy
there will be manuals and unbrick your PSP and you cool guy again

sooo I have another question
I got 2 PSP Batterys
1 Memory Card

if I turn one battery into pandora battery then I have to use the other battery from now on right?
