umm... there is a 5.02 cfw. and alot of progress is being made with 5.03 even tho the gripshift exploit was patched in 5.03.

Do not update to 5.50 because the TIFF exploit being utilized for ofw 5.03 and the psp-3000 to make the 3000 hackable and able to load 5.03 cfw has been patched.

Here first are the requirements before you can install the PSP Custom Firmware 5.00 M33:
1. PSP Phat or PSP Slim with 3.52 M33 or higher.
2. The 5.00 M33 file
3. The 500.PBP file
4. PSP battery at least 80% full
5. All plugins are disabled.

How to install the PSP Custom Firmware 5.00 M33:
1. Extract the 5.00 M33 files to your computer.
2. Copy the 5.00 M33 files to X:/PSP/GAME/
3. Copy the 500.PBP to the directory X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
4. Run 5.00 UPDATE in your PSP’s XMB
5. Press X if asked to correct idstorage keys
6. Continue to install the official 5.00 SONY if asked
7. Press X to reboot PSP after installation process.
