New to SC...

should I buy SC one now, or just wait for SC2... I watch my friends play it all the time and am into RTS games, but I don't know if it is worth spending the money on (low on cash ._.)

First off, Starcraft is worth every penny, even if it is an older game, i've had it for a while now, with the mix of great gameplay, single player missions, multiplayer and map editor, u can spend alot of time in this game, it sometimes take seriously months to perfect strategies, anyways to the point, i'd say buy it, and if you do, try and grab the expansion too, Brood War adds alot more maps and plus the xtra 3 campaigns. Conclusion: play starcraft before starcraft 2 else you will be at a major disadvantage, if you have spare time and get starcraft be prepared to waste your days away to the wee hours of the morning trying to beat your friends invincible strategy either over the internet or LAN.

i suggest ..............to download it............. although it is against law to do it, but everyone...many people do it, cause you get the same game as the one you buy just no cd-key for online gaming

If it is so old... how are all the CD-Keys not used/ruined...
A brute forcer could, at the least, find a couple real ones...

nah, see you can guess cd keys for starcraft easy, i do it all the time when im lanning it, but u have like millions of possibilities, and if they catch you trying to crack it online, they just blacklist that cd key so it doesnt work anymore, same thing as Diablo games or anything made by Blizzard, there good with that, thats y i didnt suggest it, there lots left trust me, you've got 0-9 and A-Z left for each letter, thats 36 possibilities per spot, and i believe its like 15 characters long or something.

its true... if u get starcraft, things will be easier and understandable for sc2.u'll see the story and understand the story that lead to SC2. U'll also see some dead characters that played a important role 4 years ago in starcraft

Although it seems that some micro/macro managing techniques will be useless due to the new units introduced. Example
cobra or was it banshee ( the thingie that flies and shoot a barrage or rockets) i think its banshee
banshees vs. M&M (Marines and medics (medics come in the expansion known as 'brood war')) *BOOM* *explosions* woah where did that blood come from?
