Re: Adopt-a-Noob

[quote=nForce;1265521]This is a rather silly idea for numerous reasons. However, first and foremost this will simply not work, as most of the people cheating in games don't have the patience to play normally let alone spend time learning a programming language or delve into the realm of reverse engineering.

In my experience, individuals that attempt to learn how to program for the sole reason of developing cheats, rather than for the enjoyment of learning about the field of computer science, skip a lot of the fundamentals and end up writing very poor code.

In short, although it might sound nice on the surface, in actuality this idea is a recipe for a disaster. If people would like to learn the art of programming, they should pick up a text book or enroll in a programming course. Asking for programming lessons from a group of potentially inexperienced programmers on a game cheating forum is not the right way to begin programming.[/quote/] Agrees

@pwnedyo: It doesn't matter what they're learning for, as long as they're learning and trying, which is the whole point in this thing, i'm fine with it.

I would be happy to learn one if some one wanted to teach it to me, it makes it more enjoyable is some one is helping me learn and if they already know they can help me with mistakes. It also helps u later on in life in college and high school so your defense is kind of biased because I wouldn't learn it just to cheat and would take it seriously

Re: Adopt-a-Noob

well im new to these forums as to i just found and im totally interested in reverse programming. ive been online for the past month trying to find good tutorials so i can learn this but most are outdated and the programs they used to crack and give instructions are the same.. been thinking about taking classes in C++ and programming but the money for me isnt thier for this especially as just lesiure learning it gets expensive.. im not sure if alot of people are into the whole adopt a noob but i think its a great idea for those who are dedicated to learn code and how things work. as for myself i learn things pretty quickly just need to be shown the way. If anyone is up for teaching send me pm we can figure something out

Thx

Re: Adopt-a-Noob

This is rather a smart idea in its context. However it would be pretty hard to control and there would be ALOT of people who would want to be 'adopted'. I myself would fully participate in this type of thing. If you could possible give a layout on how you think it could be implemented or any mod/addons that kinda support this idea, it would better its chances of being implemented in the future.
