There's a difference between being "equal" in a humanitarian way and "equal" in regards to your contribution to the community. I don't agree with Noob of the Month. As has been pointed out, this only promotes ostracizing and ridicule, which we'd like to avoid. I'm sure most of the people here are in High School and receive enough bullying without it happening on the forums. Only I'm allowed to bully people here. See red tag. ;)

Member of the month: I see no reason why this wouldn't be possible. I don't really see why everyone's caught up in the wording of the OP when it's clear his contention is to start a contest/award of sorts. It doesn't matter if you want a section or a thread for it, rather whether you want the award at all. We have had such award in the past, however, it's hard to judge who's deserving of the award and on which criterion this should be based. But, I digress. First, we should probably get a more accurate idea of who (as in, how many) would be for it. I'll open up a poll in coming days.

r2k, perhaps the moderators could post who they believe has contributed most in their sections, and then you, Skyline and pursuited could discuss who should get the award.

Ok, noobest member would be won by like 1000 people so I think the admins/mods should decide who contributed the most and award them.
