Suggestion Receiving points for Correctly reporting a thread.

That'd be good. But we have many of those. Just a handful of those who play around and get into trouble with the Staff.

It's just another method to get points, wich will cause spam.
If you start getting points, for legitly reporting threads, then i wonder...
If 20 people report a thread, who will get the points?

Also if this get's encouraged, people more then needed, will start reporting threads just to get points.
Wich will only result in more work to moderators, when it would of been easier if just 1 or 2 persons reported the thread.
Or will the mods, ramdomly pick the right Reporter?

If your really that proud of being a good GzP user, then you will not need any points for reporting a thread. There are quiet enough ways to gain points on GzP, i don't see why we need to add any.

The person receiving the points would obviously be the first person to report the thread correctly.

How would this result in more work for moderators..? It gives us an extra set of eyes, lessens the combing of threads that moderators are required to do and the only downfall is perhaps a few more reported posts - which are pretty easy to filter out.

It is not about being proud to be a GzP user. It's about alleviating moderator workload by incorporating member involvement into the moderating process. It'll help clean the forums.

By having user-involvement in our forums, it'd be a really great help. Especially in some forums where it's getting a little too huge. The Moderators and Staff of that forum wouldn't be able to scan through each and everyone of these threads.

Therefore, by having Users point out 'defective' threads to us, would make our work much more efficient, and I strongly encourage that.

Also, the spammer that has been advertising his " Private server " recently, spammed his post on atleast 4 additional forums(not being certain if it were only 4).
If all would be reported by 15 members, in addition to each forum it seems troublesome.
Also an extra eye does not really seem needed when i notice that most spam get's reported quiet fast and recent.

But after you do this you simply refine, what was said by him already.
No offense, but this makes you seem like a suck up, i don't really mind you critisizing my looks upon this topic, but atleast, try to come with your own statements when you do.

I'm quite sure it'd be feasible to limit the number of post reports per post (i.e. "This post has already been reported.")

Well, That's because he brought up something which I had thought was really right, and what I had initially wanted to say as well. On a topic, there are many points in which are positive as well as negative which you can't possibly be saying everyone of them right ? You say some, and sometimes forget the others. So when others point it out, you'd agree with them.

Also, I don't want to feel like i'm critisizing your looks on this Topic, but i'm just giving you my opinion on what you had said, I hope you don't get me wrong.
