Points for being at IRC ?

Well, we've got an average of around 30-33users on at a time. If we do implement this feature, no doubt there'd be more activity in the IRC, but they'll be more spam as well.

Would be a pretty good Idea, and bring some activity to the IRC channel.

But on the other side are BNC´s and Idlers.
Maybe receiving Points for being active in there. For discussing much and stuff like that...

But then we would have the Problem with Spammers, if no Mod is around and someone spams alot to get points...

Overall a nice Idea, but It has to be done correctly

I guess this one doesn't seem that bad, would be quiet usefull to support the community.

I've been working on a IRC client, maybe it could be incorporated in that? At least the methods it uses that is, and I could turn it around and make it work in VB, just an idea.

Hopefully players wont abuse getting points from this when it does get's implemented (IRc bot)

we could add a points to it.
It will watch the activity of a irc user, and the length of his messages.
A spammer makes short messages.
if the bot sees it a spammer then it will receive no points.

Following up Tib's idea, not all spammers do small messages, so instead if there are more than, say 3-5 consecutive characters of the same letter, then that post could gain no points.
