I was thinking about how GzP can prevent spam threads.
In order to make a thread, you must be a member of GzP for at least 3 months and have at least 50 post. Now you're thinking about "What if they spam their way up to 50?" We ( GzP members) will report and etc.
:)
Good Idea?
Personally, I think it's a horrible idea. Most people aren't even active on forums for three months and it'd end up in a thread-hijack competition. What about all the members who intend to do good with their threads? I'm sorry, but I don't think it's fair that people should have to wait three months before they can make a thread. Perhaps a week at most.
Not a good idea. It's just going to drive people away.

I have to agree with Sv3nt3k, people spam, and leech in forums no matter what. It's part of being on one. You just have to hope you have moderators that are efficient enough to delete spam, and close useless threads.

Have you seen the spam in the Soldier Front section?
I'm not saying theses will stop spam but the new sites that are being created they come and make threads spamming about their site. And the ones who post viruses. I've never falling for those but the ones who do constantly post " VIRUS DON'T DOWNLOAD" continuously.
We need moderators that dont give chances to new users, for example they start spamming and only get 5-15 points. Instant banhammer for new spammers. Users that are here long and contribute(people with lots of posts, coloured usernames, avatars and sigs LOL) should be safe.
As i said, ban the lurkers that join and make a thread asking "were i gat hax"
