So I'm repairing a laptop for someone right now, and I installed like every RTL8187L driver after another on Windows 7 32bit.
I didn't get any of the drivers to work.
There's no red X on the interface in the hardware manager, however it won't find any access points. Windows 7 just keeps suggesting me to check the cable connection of that wireless adaptor.
It's definately an RTL8187L:
Did anyone else run into this problem and knows a solution for this?
The Notebook is an "One A6012" if that matters, and it's not mine.

Fixed it.
Solution:
Install drivers
in Vista compatibility mode.
Kaspersky must not be active during installation.
I had to entirely reinstall Kaspersky, so probably some settings fine tuning, but it took me long enough to figure. And instead of playing with all the settings I just decided to entirely uninstall kaspersky to check wether it's a kaspersky issue after all or not.
Closed.
