If you run off of dial-up then you should be able to host by simply opening the port 6112 in your firewall (even though i dont recomend hosting with 56k.. thats just rude). if you have DSL.. it cant be done, unless you have a special DSL card in your computer (last time i looked they were 150-200$). For cable, you will either have to dirrectly connect to the Cable modem and open the port 6112 on both your firewall and the modem (if it has a firewall). Or you can open the port of the router which your computer is plugged into; If you do this however you will want to make sure that your modem has the port 6112 open as well. |

| Head Admin of GzP ![]() | Re: Hmm... usually if you don't have any firewall programs or routers, then you should be able to host game without any problem.. but you need to enable it in your windows xp firewall if you are using SP2. |
