Need help on creating with router

Ok as the title mentions i need help on how to create games with a router, i remember seeing a stickie before on the forums that showed how to do it but its not there anymore and i just recently got my router since i moved house.

So if anyone knows how i can create games do feel free to post, thanks.

simply open the port 6112 on your router.

To do this:
Open up a command prompt and type in Ipconfig. you should recieve three things.. ip address.. net mask.. and default gateway...

Open up any browser and type the IP address of the default gateway into the address bar and hit "Enter". then enter the routers username and password into the box (if you dont know it then ask your parents)*see note*

There should be a small tab or bar on the top or side where it will say something along the lines of... Firewall, ports, port forwarding, security managment, etc... every manufacturer will be different...

once you have found the area on your router where to open and close ports... set the required feilds to be the following.

Name: Warcraft 3 TCP port range 6112-6112

Then press enable. You may have to restart your router but most do not require this. Remember that if you have any other firewalls such as windows firewall or mcafee you will have to open the port in there as well.

Another thing to think about is that you cannot host with DSL. you must have either a cable modem or dial-up modem to host games.

In some cases your router will still be set to the default password, if your parents do not know it try looking [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for your router.
