Help! Making Copies of TFT

I've made two copies of TFT one with Nero and another with CloneCD and they both dont seem to work. An error msg pops up saying "please verifty that your frozen throne disc is in your cd-rom drive, then click retry". Anyone know what the problem is?

Re: Help! Making Copies of TFT

Warcraft 3 (1.00-1.04) uses SecuROM 4.68.xxx to prevent data copying. Download Alchohol 120% and make an image using the data type "securom *new" or "securom *new (4.x/5.x)"

then you can burn the image to a disk with the "burn image" option alcohol provides.

edit:
Look on your warcraft 3 TFT disk for its version number. if the version number is 1.00 you will be using the securom *new datatype. I believe if it is ~1.40 then you should use securom *new (4.x/5.x)

Re: Help! Making Copies of TFT

I used the latest version of alcohol 120% v1.95.3105 and didnt work
all there was an option in the emulation to check off SecuROM and didnt work.

Re: Help! Making Copies of TFT

Your welcome.

I forgot to add that the very latest version uses secuROM 5 and you must writ the image at 8x speed only.
