Changing CD Key

Can someone please explain to me how I can change my TFT CD key? I have now tried two methods and both have been unsuccessful. Firstly I tried the MYTH release of FTKey which gave me the following error:

Setup was unable to determine the available disk space on drive I. Setup requires at least 257 kilobytes of free disk space to complete the installation.
Setup was unable to add the following file to Invalid\War3x.mpq:
font\font.ccd
Error 0x00000003: The system cannot find the path specified.
(C:\temp\030518LocKitb\Installer\Source\MpqUtil.cp p:45)
Installation canceled.

Next, I tried a MPQ Archiver but since I had no idea how to use one, that quickly died. From the above error message, I take it the CD key details are in teh file font.ccd. I tried doing something to that file in the MPQ Archiver and to no avail. Can someone please please help me?

Get the same error as in the post above. Really weird because all my registry settings are pointing to the right folders.

Are you extracting the programs to the desktop, or just opening them from the temp?

Opening them from the temp, and I have tried extracting them to the folder where I have installed WC3 and TFT. Still no go.

the warcraft III roc cd key changer doesnt work for me... It just has exit and cant click change cd key... it used to work when i installed windows 98 then upgrade to xp but now i installed xp straight and the cd key changer doesnt work... any help?

hmm... well the error in your original post would be from you opening up the file from firefox, then closing firefox and its download window (same applies for IE). But because you said you put the exe directly into the wc3 folder thats obviously not it.

The only thought I have right now would be if you installed warcraft to a 2ndary hard drive, which would mean that you would have to copy your files over to the c:\ drive then back to the original drive... or your using a pirate version of the game.

Copy the EXE in the zip to your desktop. then right click it and go to properties.
this will bring up a window, click on the "Compatability" tab and run it in windows 98 mode.

Are you using a pirate version of the game? I'm pretty sure that if the game is cracked or downloaded without the installer the keychenger will not work.
