XP is better for everything, since Vista is just XP with a new paintjob and a lock(the metaphor is it's a fence)

i cant even instal TFT on vista :(

Dont take heart to either of the previous posters. XP is NOT just XP with a "paint job". Almost the entire OS has been reworked from the kernel to the new GUI "litobro" so dismissively called a paintjob.

Vista also fully supports WC3, both RoC and TFT. I and several other friends of mine have installed Warcraft 3 on vista and had it run flawlessly.

On a side note, vista is very resource intense on systems. Especially when it is compaired to XP. Which means unless you have high enough systems specs, gameplay can slow down. If you're building a system with fairly new hardware and at least a gig or two of ram, then warcraft 3 will run like a charm.
