Is there a way to cheat in mulitplayer without editing a map?

Hi guys, me and my brother are playing a scenario map thats designed with the difficulty always predetermined to assume you have all 8 players as humans. So my question is, how and is there a way to add gold and lumber with a cheat in a multiplayer lan hosted game without being able to edit the map? I try to load the map in the editor but it alwass gives me this wierd message that it can't find he triggers or something. Its a good map so we want to tweak the npcs that appear for the other players not present so we can actually beat it. Thanks.

no you have to edit the map to add triggers like -gold and -lumber but you can use map hack

If you want a map cheated, you can make a request at this site:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You can request any map as long as you follow the rules ;)

Thanks guys, what kinds of things can map hack do? I'm assuming thats one of the assist programs out there. I'm sorry I'm a noob to these kind of things with the game.

A map hack is a program that lets you see the map unfogged and look at enemy hero stats
spells etc...

You can hack -- with maphacks, hp hacks, resource hacks, etc.
