Somethings wrong....

Guh, Im budget and installed my mates WC3. I live 5 hours away and dont have a disc anywhere handy. Tried to play on boredaussies. All was going well until i went to do last update, it wont work! It says its something bout my version, im pretty sure its because of my wc and tft versions are No cd crack versions... Any ideas?

Hope i explained right.

its because they are no cd cracked with bad patches. the cracks you use dont allow you to update

Go into the patch and crack thread (stickied to the top of the warcraft 3 section) and download the "clean wc3.exe" and replace the wc3.exe in your warcraft folder with this. Once the writeover is complete, download the manual patcher and update your wc3. That should solve the version errors.

Also, I would suggest that when you plan on no cd cracking wc3 that you use a mini-disk image (also stuck to the top of the warcraft section). That way you wont have to go threw this mess everytime.

yeah... poent also helped me fix my mouse by adjusting the speaker volume.. he's a real genius :D

btw have fun with your cracked wc3 though i still think its best to have a normal no-pirated wc3
