Quite a few problems. Some probably easier then others.

Ok. Well, i recently just downloaded WC3 because my friend thought i was giving him my disc and so he gave it to his friend =.= And because i dont want to buy it again. I downloaded it. And now for my problems ><

1 - 1.20e Patch. I know i know, theres threads everywhere but my problem is. Its always like "upgrade from your 1.20d patch to your 1.20e patch" and, i dont even have 1.20d, and i cant GET 1.20d. No, the standalone patch didn't work either. It says failed to validate something or other and there is a blizzard error upon reading the game folder and it just wont let me patch. Anyhoo, i've been scrambling around all day trying to find a 1.20d patch that will work.

Then i thought about reinstallation. So i loaded up my images with nero's imagedrive beause the images were .NRG's. And so hoping that by NOT installing the no-cd crack this time, it will let me update the way it was meant to be updated. But no, it wont even read the mounted disc. Now how am i supposed to open the game to get to the updater. and then a thought hit me. It wont even let me connect to battle net. Then i thought again, that if i try to use the 1.20e patch directly. it might work.

Nope. Every single 1.20e nocd crack i find. Requires the backing up, renaming, moving around of the 1.20d files @____@. and I, not HAVING the 1.20e files. and NOT being ABLE to GET the 1.20d files now realize i cant use this alternative method either.

And now a completely different question.
I cannot load special maps. Running a 1.07 patch (default version that i got from the download and not being able to patch anything) i thought i need to patch it which why i set out on this silly little quest in the first place.
Anyways, i think they're "trigger" maps. like say, fastest map possible. Or the defense maps. I cant load them. (This is over LAN because well first bnet doesn't work. and i play with my bro and sis). I go create, select the map, OK, the animations in the backgound stop for a second, then beings me back to the LAN screen. I can load normal maps though. like, campaign maps. The melee maps you find on the internet. Just none of the "trigger" maps.

If anybody can help me. This would be GREAT.

looks like you just messed up your files with a crack. reinstall the game from your image and use the manual patcher at the blizzard forums. Dont use the no cd crack next time. use the mini-image stuck to the top of the warcraft 3 section.

well neither the nocd crack or image mounting work for me, when i mount it says im tryin to connect to an invalid server and when i use nocd crack it dont even load... so im just f'd on both sides.... just like paris hilton
Edit: i have had a breakthrough! i can now connect with nocd crack but still canot connect... i didnt delete that cause i liked my paris hilton joke too much

i agree...btw heres a lil stuff 2 know about cracks: they **** your games up.
They cant usually go online.
They are illegal like having a bazooka defense gun in your house.
They just suck...


use image files instead.
