In response to the outbreak in hacks that allowed players to replace their Default weapons with any weapon in the game, DE has provided a fix that will prevent this from being exploited and it will be rolled out to servers in the next few days. During that time we have been scanning the game accounts and flagging any account that has used this hack to change their default weapons.
Today we have banned 25,000 F2P accounts that had used hacks to replace their default weapons with unreleased weapon or weapon s they had not purchased, for Premium accounts that have used this hack we have not yet decided the punishment and will wait until Monday to decide what it will be.
Some ideas the War Rock production staff has come up with:
- Ban all Premium accounts (that used weapon hacks)
- Account is not banned but Dinar is reset to 0 and all weapons except Default weapons are removed from account.
- Account is not banned but all weapons including any they have purchased are removed from account.
- Account is not banned but EXP reset to 0, all hacked weapon are removed from account.
Those are just some of the punishment we will be looking into; we have the whole weekend to think about them and come up with even some new ones. If you guys wanna come up with some fun and creative punishments, we might take those into consideration too.
