error, external program.

I keep getting this error....

running win xp64 with NOTING extra in the background !

(only 18 essential windows processes etc.. in task manager

it's a fres install, thought it could be because it's xp64, but it works fine on my other xp64 machine...

I'm not using any hacks/cheats/etc...

and I can't find any info anywhere at all :(

looking around, it looks like it's an X-Trap error, not a wolfteam one ?

i think there is an xtrap update in the wolfteam homepage try that or redownloading the game

I've re downloaded the game

and I've removed X-Trap so it re-downloaded itself...

still no good :(

I get maybe 3 min before I get disconected, it doesen't matter if I'm actually playing a game or just sitting at the "chose a server / area" screen :(

oh well, I'll keep tyring !

mabye ur firewall OR mabye something else on ur comp iz messin with wolfteam.bin i garentee if u find out wat goin into wolfteam.bin u can disable it and its fixed

no firewall or AV running (fresh install, and I'm behind a good router with a hardware firewall)

have attached a pic of taskmanager..... after I removed everything i could... game still crashed :(

couple of web pages sugested it could be because I'm not running the admin account, but I am, it's the only account on here...

clutching at straws, but I'll try disconecting one of my screens (have dual screens) and see if that makes any difference, maybe xtrap could be looking for something on display that shoulden't be and is seeing my second screen ?
(even tho most games ignore/disable it if i turn it off)

clutching at straws here, pretty sure it must be an xtrap bog/compatibility bug, just need to find out what it is so i can fix it !


pieman: how can I see if anything is accessing the wolfteam/bin file...?


I even triend copying the softnyx folder from my other machine and pasting it over the top of the one on this machine.... but the game woulden;t run then :(

LMFAO u did all that just to play wolfteam again....well the only way i can c it fixed is if u either reformatt ur comp or system restore...i suggest system restore cuz den all ur stuff wont be deleted and its reversible wat u do iz u go to start all program accesories system tools system restore den just restore it to a time where ur comp worked ^^..or worked with wolfteam in this case

ya but restore is faster becuz the load just takes bout 3 mins and u wont hafta wait hour n half to redownload wolfteam....
but i gues its 2 l8 now
