Just what I have been looking for. I'd love a model list for making some custom models, or at least a clue on how to figure out which model corresponds with which image in the mpq files.
I know your real busy Masmer, but is there an update on this? I have been looking for awhile for a list of sorts. If it allready done then can someone point me to it?

We are looking for a list of the model ID's, not item numbers. To be more clear. What I would like the list to be is a simple program that you can select a model number and it will show you the corresponding model. This type of thing would help out alot when trying to make custom items and mobs. This way its more efficent instead of trial and error in item creation to find the right look or run around till you find the mob you want to steal the model ID from.
I'm sure you've already been there, but have you checked out thottbot? They've got a picture list of the items and their corresponding model ID.
I didn't see any creature model ID's though if that's what you're looking for.
That would help in some cases but there are alot of models hows items just arent in the game so they wont be on thottbot. There was got to be a file linking each model ID to a .M2 file, the files that wow uses for models and animation. If we can find this file then we can easily make a program to let us browes all the models and even make our own. Im going to keep looking for it.
For right now I'll just wait and see if Mesmer has an update.
