Original classes.scp File?

Hey all,

I've been searching for the past couple of days. Most search results bring me to these forums so I figured I might as well post here.

I'm looking for a "retail version" so to speak, of the classes.scp file, or whatever Blizzard uses to determine what stats each race/class begins with and gets per level. The files I find are always edited for private server use. I need the original numbers. I mean, somewhere, someone had to find the original file to edit it, right? ;)

Anyone have the original or know where I might find it? I've tried searching here, WoWWiki, and anywhere else I could think of. I'm getting burned out. >_<

Check your game folder somewhere? Or is your problem that you edited it and want it back to original, in wich case, make a backup of that file, delete the original, start wow. it should replace the file with the original
and if it doesnt load the original then you must use the repair utility. I haven't tested this I am just speaking from thoery.

if it doesnt seem to be in the folder, then u might need to think about unpack some of the files in the folder

OK, but where do you find this file among your WoW files? Is it in a .mpq file? Is it in a .dbc file? That's all I need to know, the exact location.

im not sure, but thing of the relationship of the files, and wat they do, for example, the exe file is like a luncher that lunchs every thing needed.

Blizzard packs almost all their Data into MPQ files. Just search Google for "mpq editor" and you're going.

As for exact location, can't help you, try searching through files yourself. I'm sure the person originally editing it, did that too.

I've done this already and I believe the closest I've come so far is finding files like ChrClasses.dbc, ChrRaces.dbc, SkillRaceClassInfo.dbc. I found a DBC Viewer to open them, but they're just full of numbers. I have no idea what any of the numbers mean, or if the data is even what I'm looking for.

I've done a lot of searching through files and haven't found anything ending in .scp. Whoever found the original classes.scp (if it's even called that) probably knew where to look. Probably someone with hacking experience. Something I have none of.

the numbers is values of anything, for example in one of the file about class, u might have 01 for warrior ,02 for mage. then some number for race and others, so when u making a char, u r actually send a packet of these value or numbers to the sever, then the sever take respon and send back packet.
